Unclear grading criteria and feedback. I had trouble staying focused during her lectures. She is a sweet lady, very nice. However, at times she could be quite boring. Frequently said "of course" and "over the course of the text".

Very sweet women and is very helpful in getting to understand where you went wrong on tests. But lectures are extremely boring but she does mark you better if you attend regularly. Very light work load but she does not give any instruction on how she wants things done and posts nothing online so you basically wing it and hope for the best

Very boring and hard to pay attention in class. she says "of course" a lot which gets annoying after a while. Would not take again.

Very boring to listen to in class, but if you attend her office hours she is extremely friendly. My only mark above 80 was when I literally re-worded my class notes into an essay format for her... pretty annoying. Overall, she's alright so long as you're willing to attend classes and participate.

Not very helpful. Will purposely not help you if you miss classes. She gave someone in my class a zero, and when she went up to her, Lynde didnt realize who she was, which shows me that her markings depend on who you are. Also claims to dont do business over email. Boring lectures. No notes. Would not take again

This prof is by far the best! She is very sweet and is an easy grader. Make sure you attend her lectures. Although some people think she rambles, she really doesn't she just goes into the material in depth so you understand. If you write exactly what she feeds you in class it's easy to get good grades.

This profs classes were brutal, lectures were very long and boring, constantly says "throughout the course of the text" and "of course" in every sentence whether it makes sense or not. Very difficult marker, you have to write about exactly what she thinks or you will easily fail even if your argument is valid, not helpful at all.

Don't be fooled on how easy this class starts out. I realized too late into the course you need to do your work exactly how she interprets the play otherwise you will get a default 60%. Found her to be very unhelpful and almost condescending if you want help on understanding why your work is wrong.

worst teacher I've had in english, mumbles through each class. no matter how hard i tried, the highest mark i received was a 60. blamed me for plagiarizing another student, when i myself worked hard on my OWN work. terrible. will never take another course from her.

This professor was no help to me whatsoever. When I was faced with a family emergency and had to go home for a week, she proceeded to tell me that I should be able to deal with it on the phone, and threatened to dock my marks for going home anyways. Not the way I'd like to be treated for going to class on a regular basis.

She's okay. Mumbles a lot and isn't all that clear about what she's teaching. If I had to hear her say "through the course of the text" one more time I might have lost it.

Nice Prof, willing to help you if you go and speak to her outside of class. Takes an interest in how well students do, but only if you are someone who goes to class on a regular basis. Would take another course in the future.

Not a fan of this professor. I found that she mumbled about 98% of the time, and it was very difficult to listen to her speak for a full hour or more. I would suggest staying away from this professor if at all possible.

I Think Dr. Lynde was extremly intellegent and was turely intrested in what she was teachng, I felt at times she was bitter for class not particpating, which I think was due to the fact that it was a first year univeristy class and the students were uncomfortable contributing for fear of saying somthing "wrong".

Dr. Lynde is a smart and confident woman. Iinitially she can seem very intimidating, however she is very understanding. Many times I found I was less knowledgeable about the material than some other people. Whenever I went to her she was patient and encouraged me. Because of her I decided to do my honours! She's great.
