The most important thing for this class is GO EVERYDAY, if you miss just one class you will be behind on everything, trust me. The class is curved so as long as you do all your homework and show up everyday you will do good. You also do all your work in groups which is easy and fun. I recommend this science class!

Never tested on items from lectures or texts. Exams were confusing. The only good thing is that the lecture notes are also posted online, however the lecture notes were hardly what was tested on.

I found this professor confusing. She was great and knowledgable about this subject, but the test were impossible. It's like you read the book, take notes and found the test material nothing that I have studied. Her lectures are boring, but the good thing is, is that on web-ct, she has everything posted. Old test & notes.

She was very enthusiastic and helpful, but quite unclear when answering questions. This was supposed to be a 100 level class. The content was WAY above that. There were three instructors for this class, and the design of the class was terrible.

Dr. Cronn is one of the best professors I have ever had before. I took this class last semester and enjoyed it a lot. She makes all of her lecture information available to you because she puts everything on web-ct(i mean...everything) so you can never have an excuse to fall behind. she always has time to talk to you and answer questions.great prof.

Dr.Cronn IS the BEST teacher in her field. She has so much to offer. She wants her students to achieve what she has done in her career. She might talk over your head but it's not because she means to. Work hard, study & show up for class. Don't be to judgemental. If think you can do better. Then do what she has done. Teach!RATE yourself.Thentalk.

Do not take her class. She would make numerous mistakes in her exams and spend the entire exam interupting you to clarify her questions. You will have a hard time concentrating and she will confuse you terribly during the tests. She also makes exponenital number of mistakes in her notes. Students will contantly show her her mistakes in the notes.

Honestly the WORST chemistry professor i've ever had. Basically what she does is have notes set up and then just writes them verbatum without teaching it. AND ALSO, all her exams are 20 questions and each time, there are 7-10 errors that give you the wrong answer. PLEASE! DON'T TAKE CHM158 WITH DAGMER CRONN. SHE'D GET A C IF SHE WAS A STUDENT

Don't take under any circumstance. Impossible. Very intelligent, nice but that doesn't help at all. Guarantee drop class please listen and don't enroll. I am a good student - couldn't even get a grasp about what she is talking about. Way too hard. Avoid no matter what or u will regret your decision, trust me she can't teach 2 bad cuz she is smart.

Dr. Cronn was the worst teacher I've ever had in my life. First, she doesn't know how to teach and I don't know who gave this teacher a doctorate degree?? Her exams are impossible. Take an advise from me don't take this class or any class that this teacher teaches.

This is supposed to be a gen-ed science class for non-science majors, yet she teaches it at a level I would expect for chemistry majors. Her grading philosophies are very flawed, and her expectations of education majors is greater than that I've seen in my actual education courses. I was interested in the topic before hand...but was disappointed.

Don't take unless you can teach yourself chemistry. (and belong to MENSA) Hard, told us that she didn't have time for questions becuz there are too many of us. Too hard of a class for 158. Smart lady but talks way above your head.

OK...this class was interesting. she didn't make up any of the tests herself. Her grading scale ended up being easier than she told us so I was freaking out that I wouldn't pass. It is like this: if you have a 60% YOU GET A a 2.0. the class is ok..but worthless..Cronn is a nice lady though..very personal one on one

she does not write her own tests. all the homework is based on calculations but only 1/2 of each exam/quiz is calculations. the other half is conceptual. the final exam is standardized and very tough because once again its almost all conceptual. class sucks no matter what because none of the professors write their own tests. PRETTY LAZY for $850.

Impossible to understand, even harder to try and ask a question. Tries to beat around the bush when a question is asked. Tests/Quizzes usually have a couple questions that make no sense, important to read the text and most important to do ALL of the homework problems in the book. Not recommended if you need to learn from the professor. Good luck

If you UNDERSTOOD genchem1 & did well, you will do fine in this class, regardless of which Prof. you have. As for Prof. Cronn, she can be confusing, and really is sometimes, but she also does a good job too, sometimes. There's one simple way to do well in the class, read the book & hope you understand it. test/quiz are based on assigned problems.

i love dr. cronn! she is such a nice lady and i feel that she knows how to teach well. her goal is to teach the material and for students to understand. if you are going to take a more difficult class, you need to do the homework, you can't depend on the professor to make you grade good.

Enroll in another school. Oakland has terrible professors for chem. (except I Sadd) They all suck, including this one. Nice lady, but way too hard of a class for 158, said she had no time to answer questions because there are too many of us. Said to work amongst ourselves. Nodoby has a clue and we have to depend on each other? Lab is terrible.

This professor is horrible. She seems a nice teacher at the begining but she turns out to be totally the oppisit. She never helps students. Pluse her exams are immpossible, so what's a point of taking the class with her then you'll end up dropping it. Good Luck!!!!!!
