Had him for an online course. He wasn't clear at all about the assignments. I asked him if I could meet in his office for help and he told me that this was an online course and we would only have online communication. But the assignments and quizzes weren't really hard. I would have made an A if I had done all the quizzes.

Dr. Hearell is a wonderful professor! He is one of the most knowledgeable people I've ever met, and is full of enthusiasm for what he teaches. He's also hilariously funny, very cynical and can be very straight-to-the-point at times; just don't PLAGIARIZE anything in his class...the man can spot plagiarism like no other, from a mile away!

I took three classes with Dr. H. He's pretty curt, which can come off downright sarcastic and mean at times, but really, he's sooooo knowledgable and dedicated to his subjects. Once you get past the veneer, he's a pushover.

I took Dr. Hearell about 4 years ago before I graduated and moved on to Grad School. Possibly one of the best profs I've had concerning the English language and literature. At times he could be pushy, but I've learned that he did so because he wanted the best out of his students. Stand up individual for any English student/potential writer.

He was a really funny guy. We spent the first 15 mins. of class just shooting the breeze. There are no tests, just essays and reading quizzes, so you MUST read the assignments(which are not that hard). Overall, I recommnend him.

Dr. Hearell is brutally honest. Be careful not to embarrass yourself in class. PLENTY of time to do the reading. If you have a good sense of writing mechanics you should be fine. If you can't write to save your mama's life then you're in trouble.
