Covell is the man. The most organized and well structured teacher I have ever had. Makes class discussions and projects fun, and as long as you read the chapters and study appropriately you will do well in his class. 10/10 recommend and I am absolutely going to take him again.

Class is hard because exams and quizzes can be tough, although if one studies properly and correctly understands the materials then getting good grades should not be that hard. Dr. Covell's very approachable and easy to talk. He also allows for an abundance of extra credit opportunities that I highly suggest you take advantage of.

Dr. Covell is such a good guy. You have 1 quiz for every chapter reading assigned. Make sure you read because all the questions are very relevant to the readings. There are 2 big papers 6-8 pages in the semester along with a fun group presentation at the end of the year. Also here are only 2 exams your midterm and final which isn't cumulative.

Great professor. Knows what he's talking about in sports, very funny. He's a pretty tough grader when it comes to the quizzes and exams - you have to do the big chunks of reading to know the quiz questions. A lot of group discussions and final project is a group one that counts for a pretty big chunk of your grade. Great class I looked forward to.

Great Professor, I had him for freshman seminar so there wasn't that much work, but final project is very tough. You have to read to get good grades on quizzes. Down to Earth and overall good type of guy.

Hated this class! He quizzes you after assigning reading and then asks you the most specific questions that unless you memorize the chapter are impossible to answer! He's a very unfair grader in my opinion and it really took away form a class i would have otherwise enjoyed.

Encourages students to not only learn the material but know how to apply it. Quizzes and exams are critical thinking questions, instead of multiple choice, so it involves a lot writing. Also uses class discussions as a way of explaining material. If you want to learn this is a teach you want.

He is not as bad a grader as people think. He just wants very direct and thorough work. Dont try to BS him like you can Dr Walker. His class is the most interesting I have ever taken and he uses examples to explain everything. On top of that hes a great guy to talk to.
