Do not take his soc 100 class! He is a good and funny man, but his class was impossible to understand. He was unorganized and unclear and generally confused me. He's a little bit crazy also. Anyone in their first year at X is better off taking another soc 100.

He does not tell you how to do the assignments and then once you do them, he slams you in front of the whole class about how horribly wrong your assignment was. There was plenty of group work.... oh joy

he's pretty off the wall, makes class interesting though because he talks about random things and strays a lot. I didn't find him particularly friendly or helpful, he's also very sarcastic. The class itself was easy, multiple choice tests and he'd tell you what basics to study for exams.

Dr.MacInnes is slighty crazy, but I still love him. Maybe it's just because I enjoy sociology. But he doesn tend to stray from the point often in class. If you read the chapters he tells you to you'll be fine for the quiz/tests, they're usually all multiple choice. The exams are a bit harder but if you took sociology in highschool you'll be fine

It may just be because he's retiring right away, but this man has completely lost his mind--he's extremely vague with his assignments, and at the end of the semester, actually informed the class that he was purposely unclear because we were part of his experiment. If you're in one of his classes (especially a 300-level one), get out. Fast.

relates things from out of nowhere to the class that have nothing to do with the course. Read the text and you can pass the tests he has and try to figure out what is important in the class cause its on the exam.

Nice guy, but his teaching is super chaotic. Talks about current issues, but confuses the heck out of you in the process. No real organization of his madness. Although you can tell that he knows what he's talking about, you don't know what it is!

Talk about kooky!!! This proff is very..different, but wonderful in his oddness. He may seem to be talking nonsense, but what hes saying is very thoughtful and should be taken seriously. He can find a sociological cause and result in just about anything!! One interesting guy if your open to something different.

Oh. My god. This man makes absolutely no sense to me. He has, by far, the most incoherent lectures that I have EVER heard, and although I'm sure HE knows what he talking about, his students never do. VAGUE, VAGUE, VAGUE; you practically have to scream at him to get any kind of clarity.

so confusing, very vague....do not ask questions, his answers will only leave you more confused. but tests are easy, so even if you have no idea what he's talking about, you can pull off a decent mark.

First semester he followed no reliable pattern of evaulating his students. Second semester he picked up his act and it was a way better class. As long as he keeps with second semester methods he's good! VERY LAZY though....not much of an informative class...boooring
