Dana is an amazing prof who has traveled the world to study each artworks. Participation matters a lot and she tries to get students involved in lectures. She clarifies what will be on the "slide tests" before hand and they aren't hard if you attend every lecture (and pay attention). As for essays, she is a bit of a tough marker.

I started out fully engaged in this class and highly motivated to work hard and learn. Bought the textbook (which isn't necessary) and was in every class. Sadly, but it seemed as if I could never please her and found her unreasonably picky. She gives a lot of negative feedback and my marks were much lower than I get normally. Very discouraging.

very very very tough maker. Discussed with her about the 2000 words essay and asked for instructions and some advices. I've followed what she asked for but still received a D. Two other frnds had the same problem and all dropped the class.

She's a fantastic lecturer - super passionate and obviously an expert. She cares and expects you to, too. A tough marker, but fair; anyone who's really upset about her grading probably hasn't tried hard.

Amazing Prof. was hesitant on taking the course as I'm not the best at academics, but she made learning material a dream. Her lecture style is very interactive and links back to previously learned material to better your understanding. Shes very kind and gives amazing feedback on assignments.

for grading criteria she completely contradicted herself. Generally all the papers I've submitted have ranged from high As to low Bs, but for this class I got a C- on my paper. She's an unreasonably tough marker and isn't clear with her instructions and hard to negotiate with.

Dana treated our intro to art history class as we had all taken a class before. I always had to seek helo when it came to essays and exams because she is a very picky marker and doesn't give clear direction. Do NOT take this as an elective. Do not buy the textbook, I never used it once, and the library has multiple copies.

Dana her intro to art history class as if everyone had taken a class before. She doesn't give clear instruction on how she wants essays written yet she is super critical and not helpful at all. I went up to her every time after class to get help and she wasn't helpful at all. I would never take another class with her again.

Dana is very knowledgeable of art, and is an excellent lecturer. I really enjoyed her class. If you are interested in the subject, or are taking it as a major, then I highly recommend. She is also a very tough marker, and most work is based on essay questions, so if you are worried about your GPA in this course as an elective, then reconsider.

My first class with Dana was in 1997 and I stayed with Art History for the duration of my program because of her. Her love of the subject transfered to me and ignited my love for travelling. Tough but fair - and so knowledgeable! One of my favourite instructors at Kwantlen.

My favourite professor at Kwantlen. Dana is an amazing professor & knows her stuff! You MUST pay attention in her class but the text is not really needed. She's extremely helpful & is very organized. She's been most of the places she talks about. Super informative! Dana's a bit of a hard marker but if you listen & take notes then you'll be fine!

Love Dana! She is a really nice lady who makes her passion in art hist contagious! The classes are a mixture of lecture and discussion. DON'T BUY THE BOOK! Everything you really need to know will be discussed in class. The library has lots of copies too!
