The worst professor I've ever had at WPI. DISORGANIZED. His tests are literally one giant paragraph with blanks to fill in. His questions are phrased as if he hasn't been speaking english for ~60 years. Goes off in tangents so it is difficult to know what to study. Take this class another term with another professor. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Great man, decent class. He really loves what he does and it shows. Teaches by crazy powerpoints that make sense in class, but once at home you'll need your notes to understand. Go to the review sessions to get fishes = bonus points.

Nice guy. The powerpoints are NOT the way to learn for the class. It's all short-term memorization, if you're good at that, you'll do fine. Use the book, use the checklist of words, pay attention during the quiz-day review. I'd take another class with him.

Great Guy, but i can see why most people do not enjoy his lectures. His lectures tend to be really disorganized and he uses powerpoints that dont have all the info on them that you need. If you read the text before and after class though, you do fine. He likes to through fish at people.

I had him for Anatomy and Physiology. He gave us a final quiz and a cumulative final on the same day in a 2 hour block, which pretty much sums up my experience with his class. The classes were useless and he emphasized the wrong things to study for the quizzes. All in all, his class was one of the worst I've had at WPI. Nice guy though.

I can't imagine people criticizing his teaching style! Not only would he make up power points that would have words and pictures, and animations- but he would supply supplemental reading, create "songs" of info, and have students independently learn subjects for presentations. He was always ready to help, and even used trivia games! Great teacher!

All memorization. Every class is based on the ppt, which is difficult to read and follow. Speaks very quietly and quickly, so it is difficult to write down what he says. Quizzes do not measure what you know because some of the questions are obscure. However, he's a really funny, nice guy -- he sings sometimes. Adds interesting anecdotes to lectures

Despite using powerpoint EVERY DAY, he somehow manages to fumble with the program for 5 minutes at the start of every lecture. Biodiversity was all (short-term) memorization, and I've learned NOTHING. He seems like a nice guy though and tries to make lectures interesting (with a 50% success rate).

Had him for anatomy/physiology and zoology. After three terms of him I was ready to shoot myself. I skipped every lecture in zoology and got a perfect score for the class. All memorization, going to class and listening to him is a huge waste of time.

It is amazing to me how incredibly boring this man makes what is supposed to be an interesting subject. Lectures consist of 4th grade level power points and random/useless information. Don't take this class if you want to learn. Easy A.
