Comment:

Lectures are super boring and semi-unorganized, but he knows his stuff. Alot of personal experience too. Pretty much his entire grade is the term paper, and he tells you the topic, so if you just take decent enough notes you'll be fine.

Comment:

I enjoyed all the classes I have taken with Dr. G he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches which I think is great because I find that many professors at Pace have neither of those qualities. He's not out to get you, he is fair and makes it very clear that the readings are essential in order to succeed in the class. Very kind!

Dr. Greenberg is honestly so boring. I don't really recall ever paying attention to his lectures. On the bright side, taking notes on his PowerPoint slides help tremendously. When you review them, you understand the material perfectly. During his exams, he lets you use a single side of paper for notes to assist you. This is extremely helpful.

Comment:

He is not an easy professor. But if you do your work and participate/show interest, you will pass his class. He is so passionate and as long as you show effort and care about what you're learning, you will do fine in his class. It's nice to have a teacher on this level at a school like Pace.

Our advisor chose this 6 points class for us!! Do not take him!!! He is really a serious and boring professor. He took attendance every class and what he taught was very unclear. He is also a tough grader. You can hardly get high grades. If you want to get high grades, do not take this gpa killer....

I have taken Dr. Greenberg for several classes now. Those who give him poor ratings are the ones who are lazy and don't like challenging, ACADEMIC classes. He is prob one of the profs who WILL give you what you pay for - you pay ALOT at Pace, might as well get the best classes. Lots of readings, participation, fair grader. PASSIONATE

He knows his stuff I'll give him that. But he is extremely boring. There is a midterm and a final. Oh and he assigns each student a particular chapter from the book and has you "present it" which is basically him having you teach his class for him. Seriously? Take a different learning community if you can.

If you get Dr. Greenberg for HIS 499, don't worry. He will work with you on perfecting your thesis. My one complaint would be that his reader overlaps with material already covered in HIS 380. That aside, he is fair on the thesis and open-minded about possible topics. I believe he approved almost everyone's project from HIS 380.

Greenberg is extremely knowledgeable but the lectures are boring as hell. He is quite rude when you ask for help outside of lectures and is a hard grader on papers. You have to be serious about Latin American studies and/or history to get a good grade in his course.

Dr.Greenberg is one of the best professors I've had at Pace. He loves what he teaches, he is hard, but fair. If you prepare, you will do good. Your grade is up to you, put in the effort and your fine. Essay exams with a one page "cheat sheet" I mean how can you not do good if you are prepared?? Great Professor.

Always smiles so it makes the class slightly more enjoyable. He can be a tough grade on papers because he expects no BS and when you give him BS hell shut up down. Can b very boring at times but is very knowledgeable

He's okay. He really knows his stuff, but he isn't engaging. His lectures are like him have an hour long conversation with himself and he tends to lose focus. The only two test are essay exams and there isn't really a review. You just study everything and hope you can answer the prompt. Overall he is just okay

This professor does not follow the university's policy of 2 unexcused absences for class. I had a 3 hour night class with him that I missed one because I was severly sick, and his policy was that I could only miss class if I had a note from the hospital, or else my grade would have already drop an entire mark. He was severly boring, but nice.

Wow, cant say i'm shocked that almost no one has registered for this class next spring. Subject is interesting, but he's to difficult. Presentations every other week and 4 exams. Hey we have other work. Avoid, take other history classes with better professors.
