Dont do it pham. Only 200 level class Ive ever heard of that gives a five thousand word essay. He doesnt allow computers during lectures and doesnt want you taking notes so showing up is a waste of time but you still have to show up to hand it the homework of the 25 page reading each week.

Good guy, he clearly knows his subject and pushes students to go further. His expectations are clear and its not a hard class per se, just one that takes time.

The teacher is a bore put plainly. Showed up to class and simply opened up youtube and surfed the internet. Did no readings for this class but as long as u have a basic concept of Canadian politics you will be fine. The readings assigned where long. No finals, occasional pop quiz, 2 papers. Easy B and over if you half listen don't even need notes.

Average prof, didn't love him and didn't hate him. Does his thing, listen if you want, it will help on quizzes but for the papers if you know your topic you can show up to one class in which he discusses it and u dont need the rest, however you need to submit 10 assignments for a free 10%. It's a long 3h class if you don't like Canadian politics.

Very engaging course material, topics are relevant and mentally stimulating. The readings are a bit overkill and the TA's grade harshly and pretty arbitrarily. A so so course. Nothing to write home about.

Great online class. Material is a little outdated but professor Salee is a great lecturer. The is a fair amount of course work (two assignments and a midterm) and the final exam is very hard to study for (200+ pages, course slides and videos). Overall I would recommend although this class will require a lot of effort.

A lot of work to be done in Indigenous People and the State; two 2000 words reports, 2000 word book review, 6000 word policy paper, weekly reviews on the assigned readings handed in for each class and a log book on a news topic with a 1000 word intro. You learn a lot and can possibly get an A if you don't leave everything to the last minute.

He's a great prof. Very knowledgeable. This was one of my fave classes even though I didn't do as great as I would have liked to. Don't use cell phone or laptop in class, he will not tolerate them. Regardless, he is is very inspiring.

well, he's a pretty good prof. for the mid term in quebec politics he GIVES you the questions he's going to ask. he says here's 5 i'm gonna pick 2. if you fail his exams, it's your own fault. he's helpfull too. the only con is there's way too much work for an elective. you have to read 2 books and do book reports on them.8 pages each.ez marker tho
