I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching style; however, he is not an easy marker. Also BEWARE!!! f you are late to class for even five minutes, he won't let you stay. Other than that, thumbs up from me.

Daniel Simons is marvelous. A brilliant man but an even better educator. His lectures were inspiring but his exams were challenging. The key about his delivery of economics is you don't need to be full on calculus to be effective. The way of thinking is what matters under his instruction. Transforming professor and an even better man.

Daniel is one of my favourite profs at VIU. He wants you to take his class seriously so he does not tolerate coming in late and not being prepared for class. He grades you based on your progress throughout the semester. The midterms are like the assigned homework. He puts you on the spot in class but participation is key to success in his class

midterms were similar to the assigned homework, which is good. But he makes everything harder than it has to be. The textbook does a very poor job explaining what we focus on. If you don't know the answer of the top of your head, he will make you feel stupid and always berated the class. And he refuses to give any answers for the homework

Mediocre students, prepare to meet your doom. If you are late for class, you will not be allowed to enter. If you miss more than 1 class, you lose a full letter grade. You will be called on by name in class to answer questions. Hard tests, hard problem sets, and a massive final paper. YOU WILL LEARN TONS but in the most grueling way imaginable.

Daniel is wonderful. Very direct and can be intimidating, but really has a heart of gold. Try hard and you will do well. He is tough but fair. Exam material is very predictable.

Daniel, while intimidating at times, is a great professor. The textbook assigned to the course was extremely difficult to understand, but his lectures were given in a way to make the material seem relatively easy. If you come prepared to class and study efficiently the tests/project will be a breeze. Only complaint was lack of Eviews teaching.
