Comment:

Professor Vazin is a professor who really cares if her students succeed. Her lectures and instructions were sometimes unclear but just email her as soon as you have questions and she tries to get back to you. The class is self was mainly the group project with two exams, discussion boards, and some assignments. Not hard but not too easy of a class.

I took her as an online class and the she placed an emphasize on group project. The group project worth 120 points. What crazy is that you still have 2 exams and it worth lot of points. However, she did not let you see the break down of your grade at the end because she removed her class from Titanium. Beware!

Quizzes are timed for 10 question. I hate how she gives 1 min per questions like I need time to think okay? And she takes points off just for turning duplication of the group project which is dumb. Its possible your group member can have issues and I turned in again just in case. Group project online is hard when nobody replies frequently. Tough.

Discussion board every week. A quiz every week, BEWARE THESE QUIZZES! You get a really short amount of time for the quizzes and exams. Group project was very very easy, it took my group and I about an hour and a half to finish it. This class is okay but it's way too hard for a G.E class.

Study guide was not organized nor helpful for examination. In order to fill out your study guide you would need to use your book that was not used throughout the semester. PowerPoints were not helpful for test preparation but helpful for group project. Professor needs to be specific with what chapters are going to be covered.

She's a wonderful professor who cares about her students, but you find yourself frequently confused by her instructions and what she wants. Powerpoints are minimal at best and the study guides help on maybe 3 out of the 30 questions. Nice professor, but might need to put a little extra work into studying. Her quizzes and final are far too difficult for a 101 class. There are 8 quizzes and one final. For each quiz, I read the entire chapter twice in order to get a good grade. The final had little to do with the quizzes and was really difficult. 40 minutes to do 50 questions. She was very nice, except when it comes to grades. One essay and 5 DB.

Professor Vazin was extremely tough in her grading. Grades are based upon weekly quizzes which are extremely hard to get an A on because the questions are not what you would expect to see. You seriously need to go through the book with a fine tooth comb to get the answer and by the time you find it, time has run out. I would not recommend her.

The modules for this online course are very minimal; so the workload is not particularly heavy, but the readings are long--especially if you are taking her for a summer session. Too much wight is given to the quizzes, and not enough supplemental points are available. You must go through the text with a fine-toothed comb to get 100% on the quizzes.

One quiz every week 10 questions for 10 points with a discussion board. Pretty easy class but it's hard to get an A because even if you read from the book it's still impossible to pass the quizzes. Forget what you know about health because whatever you do know is probably wrong when you take the quiz. No extra credit. Highest possible grade is a B

Pretty easy GE course. There is a 10 question quiz every week, followed along with a discussion board post and 3 replies to other people's discussion board. It is fairly simple and easy. One midterm and one final. They consists of questions that were on the quizzes. Really easy and simple. Definitely would take this class again.

Online class is very difficult. Make sure you keep up with the weekly quizzes/discussion boards or else it will really get your grade!!!! Quizzes impact your grade a lot so make sure you get pretty good grades on them.

Stay away from the online course. 37% of ur grade is on midterm & final. U have 25 mins to complete 30 ques & they are hard so everyone mostly did pretty bad on exams. Even the book doesn't have the clear answer sometimes. Study guide is not helpful. 41% of ur grade is on a huge group project. Everything else is online discussion.

Online class difficult. Tough to do all group work online. Turn things in and get graded by a TA, but then re-turn in everything at the end. Hopefully the the TA grades reflect her grades, because you have no way of knowing how you will do with her grading. Rarely responded questions. Final had ? not in notes or study guide. Read book 4 final.

Stay away from the online course. 41% of ur grade is on this huge group project that can involve up to 7 ppl. Her instruction is not clear at all & working online with a group project like this is frustrating. Her midterm are weighted 37% of ur total grade n they r horrible. U have like 25 mins to take a 35 ques exam so it's very rushed.

Class was interesting but not necessarily an easy A. There's one huuuge group project and 2 exams. Prof Dara is really cute and quirky and tries to help her students succeed. She gives lots of examples during lecture to get the big picture and teaches it in a way where you can definitely understand.

Comment:

Dara is a very kind, caring, teacher who cares about her students. She gives lots of examples so students grasp the main concepts. She learns all the students names and will send reminder messages about assignments. Take her for this class if you can.
