While the material is fairly challenging, Dr. Laude breaks it down very easily and makes it possible to achieve an A. His office hours, TAs, and materials are very helpful. I also appreciated the consistent schedule for quizzes, exams, TA discussions, and office hours that made it even easier to get prepared and take advantage of resources.

Dr. Laude is one of my favorite professors of all time! He genuinely cares about his students. He offers a lot of opportunities in order for his students to get the grade they want. Hes a good lecturer and knows how to keep students engaged. Do the homework and study for quizzes and exams! If you try, you will do well!

I'm very bad at chemistry, and this class made my life a lot easier! That is because Dr. Laude WANTS you to do well! He's straightforward, tells you what he expects of you, and there are no tricks/surprises on quizzes/exams. I even ended up enjoying chemistry to some extent, with the fear removed. Solid choice.

A solid professor especially in a course as pivotal as CHEM301. However, if you're actually looking to really learn, Laude may not always be the best option. He's a pretty good teacher, but most of his course is teaching to his tests. Easy A, but you may still leave not fundamentally understanding the material you made an A on. You decide!

He has tons of quizzes (nearly on every class day), but he drops 7 of them. His class is flipped, so you have to do modules outside of class. He explains things really well, tells you what's on the test, and he actively works to get you an A. He's hilarious, and he has tons of office hours. Super nice professor; I cannot recommend his class more!!!

Dr. Laude is the best chemistry professor you will ever have. I've never had a professor care more about his students, Dr. Laude truly wants everybody to succeed. Do the homework and study for the tests and quizzes and you will get an A. He provides SO much study material, and SO much help preparing for each exam. Definitely take this class.

This class is an easy A if you listen to Dr. Laude. He gives very clear instructions on exactly what he wants. He is very entertaining, but also very knowledgeable. He provides so many resources and help sessions, too, and answers emails really quickly. If you don't pass this class, then you probably aren't trying very hard.

Dr. Laude is a great teacher. He provides tons of outside help by means of TAs, who are all usually pretty helpful. My only qualm is that sometimes he teaches by means of shortcuts, so you may not retain info as well in a meaningful and longterm way. Overall a fantastic teacher, just make sure you are actually working to learn and retain info.

Really funny. Lectures on stage, but didn't take questions. There's like 6 different office hours to meet with TAs or Laude EVERY day to clear everything up. He tells you what is going to be on the exams, but that doesn't mean that they're easy. Learning modules instead of homework. Final grade replaces class grade and no final with an A

Dr. Laude deeply cares for his students. He is especially great for freshman chemistry because one bad test grade will not cause you to completely destroy your final grade. He adequately prepares you for tests and quizzes. His TA's and his own office hours are extremely helpful.

Dr. Laude is the best professor I have had so far. His test are easy because he gives reviews, even though you have a quiz everytime you go to class, there are not hard at all. he gives 4 test and if you pass all of them, you dont take the final. Honestly, take him, he will make your life so much easier.

Laude is an amazing professor, he definitely cares about his students and gives them many opportunities to do well. He provides question types and detailed notes about how to do well on each type of question for the exams. One thing to note is there are in class quizzes almost every class, so you cannot skip.

Dave Laude is a good man and an even better professor. Hands down the best chem professor at UT. He basically tells you every question on the tests, which obviously helps immensely, and half of the class ends the semester with an A.

THIS PROFESSOR IS AMAZING. 10/10 recommend. He teaches you how to take a college class and he truly cares about helping you achieve your goals. Make sure to go to office hours and don't slack off in the beginning because it's awesome when you can exempt the final while people in other classes still have to take finals.

Just do his 20p packet before every exam and youll get an A in the class and wont have to take his final. He gives up to 20points ec. and theres a daily quiz at the end of each class. its really not that hard and this is coming from someone who basically failed regular chem soph year of hs and hasnt looked at chem ever since

I did not take AP Chemistry in high school, so I probably think this course is tougher than someone who did. Dr. Laude gives tons of resources to help you succeed and genuinely cares/wants you to do well. His TA's are the best and his office hours are extremely useful. The tests are usually extremely fair and he gives you what you need to know.
