Really tries to help students and be clear, but maybe it is impossible to teach intro. stats. on the level it is needed after having taught it for 37 years? Comments like: "you should get 100% on this" when 1/2 the class are clueless are not helpful!

Be prepared to study for basically nothing. The exams are multiple choice and have little to do with the actual concepts presented in class. The averages usually have to be increased a substantial amount, proving just how well the teaching actually is.

Material is not difficult, but Scott makes it difficult. Wording on exams is painfully convoluted and to top if off, MC options can range from A-J. After 37 years experience, he should be able to write an exam where the class ave falls within an acceptable region and not have to alter it up to 15%. Also sometimes defensive and condescending.

Horrible! The exams do not correspond with the material presented, he is all over the map & it is very hard to follow him. His notes are unclear, & examples are rarely provided in class.

He is the most most most wonderful and helpful prof i have ever had. I did not take psy233, most students were from his previous class psy233, but he still cared about the students who did not take psy233 very much. He is my favourite prof ! ever!!! His personality is great!!!

Dave is an excellent prof!!! Stats is one of the hardest subjects out there but Dave does his best to make sure everyone understands. Very helpful outside of class, and willing to answer all questions and review material with you multiple times if necessary! Wouldn't recommend taking "Sadistics" with anyone else!!

He is a very helpful teacher. Even though he went through the material in 234 a little too fast, he does his best in trying to get us to understand everything. Glad I took Stats with him though! He's always there if you need him too!

Statistics is hard, Dave tried hard to make sure everyone understood what he was teaching. It wasn't his fault the material is so difficult and boring. Always happy to help students outside of class without making them feel stupid.

Very clear. Keeps attention in stats. Explains not only HOW but WHY things are done. Marks on a curve: good for your mark if you are good.
