Wow...If I have ever seen a guy who thinks he has the final word when it comes to english - it is him. By far the worst teacher I have ever had. He made me lose interest in the class quite quickly with his boring lectures. He also read some old english poetry...he sounded like a dying horse.

I had done fairly well writing essays in all my other classes, getting A's and B's but when I started his class I pretty much failed..he has made me very self conscious about my writing and he is mean...almost made me cry once!

The work is challenging when it comes to getting good grades but I worked hard and ended up with B's and A's on papers. He's fair and if you make an effort it'll pay off. At first he doesn't seem that friendly but he's actually really helpful, you just need to ask lots of questions when you're unsure. I would definitely recommend him.

This guy almost made me almost quite going to University! I mean, he is terrible! On the first day of class he said he wouldn't even give Shakespeare an A. On my first paper his response was "reading your paper was like reading a paper bag!" Not exactly constructive critism! I re-took the course with a different teacher and got an A- STAY AWAY!

His notes are based merely on his opinion. He marks very difficultly, expecting too much from students and not explaining his assignments clearly. STAY AWAY from his classes, they provoke suicidial tendencies, and will lower your GPA and your self esteam dramatically. I personally found him to be confusing. He looked board teaching a lower level university course.A rough rough rough marker. I got C's on papers other profs would give me at least a B on. He seemed more interested in getting the class over with than teaching. writing was hard to read which made note taking difficult. would not take him again.

Dave is the worst teacher I have had yet. He is unclear about his expectations. His hand written overhead notes are useless. And he patronizes students when they ask legitimate questions. I loved poetry before taking his class, and now I can't stand to open a book of poems.
