I had four classes with him, and he was my favorite professor the whole way through college. He's only difficult if you expect him to be easy, and he's a smartass if you're a dumbass. Definitely ask him about leaving the debate kid in Compton and his past of working in the hypodermic needle factory...

Other than the tedious scene segmentations, this class is decently easy. However, Berube is conceited and very annoying to listen to,he also sometimes passes around a second attendance sheet towards the end of class without warning those who have left early(a weasel's move).

You'll appreciate him at the end. He's a wise ass but knows his stuff! You'll learn a lot and enjoy watching him make fools of other people who think they're film critics. The mid-term and final are tough, but he grades based on how much you learned!
