Great prof, hard to reach outside of class, he has a job outside of teaching? Very knowledgeable and approachable. Tests are fair, the textbook and notes are all you need. I never went to class but have corresponded with him through e-mail and after class. Favorable test weighting. No exam.

I think it's consider easy. Only 3 midterms and no exam. I think he's pretty boring, maybe because it's a 3 hr lecture. But even if you don't go to class, you can just read the textbook(that's what I did)...

I liked the class in general. Liked how Birkett had anecdotal experience from his 20 yrs in the biz, but he never fully integrated those concepts into the course. Found there was a lot of overlap with Accounting 101 and Act Sci 231, at least for the first third of the course.

This professor and TA combo was a nightmare. The entire course was based on a competely different textbook (the previous book, likely due lazyness). And the TA's marking was awful. There were also terms on final needed to be defined that can't be found anywhere in the course.

The course was pretty easy. Sometimes the marking was a bit ambiguous, but the midterms were all bell-curved for some reason. But prepare yourself for some of the most boring lectures you'll ever attend. The previous poster is right. Someone needs to ask some intriguing questions to liven the class!

Going 3hours at night without giving a single break should not be allowed... especially when he goes on and on about stuff unrelated to the material he is supposed to be teaching. Seems like a nice guy but really... we need a different format.

Good prof with experience in industry. Its a bit much for 2.5 lecture hours a night, but he talks about industry applicable examples. Ask him probing questions, its should liven up class.
