Comment:

Professor Bleecker was the best math professor I've had so far at UH. He allowed us to use most any materials we wanted for homework, tests, etc. but to compensate for that the material was more difficult. Some say he only reads from the book during class, but I say he covers the material in the book and adds to it, making it more comprehensive.

Professor Bleecker, oh Professor Bleecker! This is definitely a class where self-motivation is important. Some say he is boring, but that is true only if you don't give a crap about the material. His sense of humor rocks, and he is super laid back. Take his class if you don't want to stress too hard but you still want an enriching experience.

His class is always the highlight of my day. What other math teacher shows movies and comedy clips instead of boring lectures? Anyway, you actually have to try in order to succeed so it's not like you can just BS everything and come away with a good grade.

prof bleecker just wants his students do succeed. he knows 90% of math profs at uhm aren't the friendliest graders, so he grades almost everything by a (nontraditional) curve. his test are some of the hardest i have seen, but again, with the curve, things become level. with that said, i would take another class from him.

Comment:

professor Bleeker has a wealth of knowledge which he extends to all of his students. He is eager to explain everything from a complete solution to the shrodenger equation to what you did wrong on last nights homework. The true genius of this professor is that he lets you decide your own level of involvement. If anyone is to blame/commend it's you.

prof. bleecker is a very effective teacher. he does more than just read out of the book, the graphs that he displays are very helpful in seeing 3D, and he goes over problems, some in more than one method, and that really helps. there are a lot of students that want to take classes from him because of his grading, it is very nice, but you will lean.

Dr. Bleeker is a great teacher teaching a very dry subject. His use of DPGraph and many in-class examples kept the lectures interesting. His tests and homework problems are very challenging but he is also willing to help students understand what he expects by covering difficult problems in-class. I abhor math but I enjoyed this class.

Proffesor Bleeker did a great job teaching calculus three. Although attendance was not mandatory it was very helpfull to sit in on his classes. He was always eager to help explain material that i didnt understand. The use of computer aided graphics which he would display via projetor gave greater insight to funtions than all my previous proffesors.

Really boring lectures - he just reads out of the text book (ONLY reads... doesn't even write anything on the board). Exams are almost impossible to understand, but he gives lots of partial credit if you write ANYTHING. He's really nice, but not so good at teaching

He is awesome! I 've never met any professor as helpful as he is. He is very articulate and passionate about what he does. I learned a lot from him. He gives really hard exams though, but they are curved.

More boring than a political speaker; the lecture style couldn't be weaker. Never has a class been bleaker than calc 3 with Dr. Bleecker. Seriously though, his class is relatively easy for calc as long as you're willing to learn from the book on your own. Lecture is a waste of time since he never does any examples, he just reads the book to you

A very, very nice guy. You do not have to turn in homework every class. Instead you only have to do about two problems per section and turn theses "sets" in a couple of days before the exam. Tests are very challenging, but he curves every problem.

Exams are totally unreal in difficulty! Fortunately he is a very easy grader. You can easily pass this class with minimal studying.
