Comment:

Dr. Cameron is an amazing professor; super funny, very intelligent, knows what he's talking about. He may seem intimidating at first, but he genuinely cares about students and wants them to do well. There are two map quizzes, ten weekly quizzes and three tests. It's not an easy class, but if you show up and work hard you will do very well.

Comment:

First off, be warned that this class is not just about the Holocaust. Its more of Europe/Russia thru 1890s-1950s kinda deal, but still super interesting. Dr. Cameron is funny and relaxed and very knowledgeable. Be prepared to read articles, take a few pop quizzes, and write at least 2 article summaries. But go to class and enjoy his stories!!

He was a nice guy and I could tell he did care about his students. BUT theres not enough grades to be put in if you get one bad grade. There is only two map quizzes and a couple exams so know everything or you won't pass. He doesn't use Moodle at all either.

professor Cameron is awesome... I dont like history but I enjoyed his lecture. He is beyond knowledgeable. No homework- only a midterm and a final. He says to read the book but as long as you show up and take notes then you will pass the exams. Exams are based off lecture. definitely take him if he is an option

Things I didn't like: he wasn't always clear about what he wanted for papers, a lot of preparation for class, and he never put grades in. Things I liked: he had extremely good points to make, he genuinely cares about us, and he tried to help us out as best he could. Don't be afraid to tell him if you don't understand! He doesnt bite!

Okay, so while I said class isnt mandatory, and he does not care if you go or not, his tests are STRAIGHT out of his lectures so if you skip them youre screwed royally. As a history major, I loved him. He has a bite to his personality but in reality he is very approachable and very willing to help you if youre willing to go to his office and ask.

This was an 8 week spring term class & I was excited about it because I love European history. The class itself was fine; a lot of reading but that was to be expected. My issue was the professor didn’t communicate clear instructions or clarify his expectations. Grades weren’t kept up to date, & he would just remove/change directions without notice.

He definately knows what he is talking about.. his tests are pretty difficult and you really need to study hard to succeed. you only take notes during class and thats pretty easy. we only had 5 grades the entire semester so be sure not to mess up on any of them. final is a paper which is nice

Great professor, I guess I can see why people say his tests are hard, but as long as you go to class and listen you'll do fine. He is very passionate about history and he can really put things into perspective, highly recommend for WH103, and any other classes he teaches. First two grades are map quiz's and as long as you study you will do fine.

Genius. Brilliant guy who knows way more than anyone I've ever met. He is funny and creative. Yeah, his tests are all essay, but they're easy if you are prepared and went over the review guide. Take him or miss out on something good.

AN INCREDIBLE PROFESSOR! His knowledge in his area of expertise is unsurpassed. He may seem intimidating at first, but he is actually very helpful if you are serious about learning. Dr. Cameron is one of the most interesting professors I've ever met. But not an easy one. History/Social Studies Majors, take any class that you can with him.
