Comment:
I have taken 3 classes with professor Eagle and honestly I go out of my way to purposely take his classes. He is the only Finance professor worth taking. His classes are not easy, you really have to put in the time and work but they are not hard to pass if you study and go to the plus groups. And HW grader is actually pretty great and easy to use.

David Eagle honestly asks a lot. I felt like he taught this class way to in depth considering most of the students in the class were not finance majors. Very disorganized and use kind of a weird grading system.

David Eagle is outdated, he teaches the class basically the same as he did in the 90s and is very disconnected with the class. If you are not a finance major take it with someone else.

There is no attendance taken because there is a quiz given everyday you go to class. The homework is done on connect since he hasn't yet made his homework grader for accounting yet. But he chooses the hardest questions from connect and only lets you use the check your work feature three times per question at minus 5% per question. Very difficult.

Worst professor I've ever had. Rambles off topic A LOT! Uses his own self-made homework grading system from the 90s that is absolutely awful. Makes you learn material in his way that doesn't make sense to most students. He teaches the course as if everyone is a finance major, doesn't allow notes for tests, and is all around pretty terrible. AVOID!

I feel that Eagle doesn't get the credit he deserves. Yes he is very challenging, however I learned the most of what I know about finance out of his classes. If you want to truly know the material, take Eagle. Be prepared to put in the time and effort, and if you do you'll be rewarded. And take advantage of past tests in order to study.

Worked directly with me to solve a tricky problem on this last Portfolio class. He is the type of teacher that once you get to know, he exceptional. Now he is geeky as am I - so that might be a key.

His program homework grader seemed clumsy at first. Traveling I liked it, as its feedback wasn't that bad and since I could not seek personal help, it worked for me me. Dr. Eagle seems to avoid time on common mistakes, but when we met he was full of interest in the subject at a higher level and interested in my sucess.

With Dr. Eagle if you are NOT a finance major, DO NOT TAKE HIM. Take someone you can actually get a good grade in. Finance majors should take him because you have to have him again and he does play favorites. Eagle is very boring, set in his ways, tells rambling stories about nothing, and teaches very little overall.

This class is a basic core class for business majors but it feels more like an upper level major specific class. Way too hard and did not learn any finance concepts. He barely uses textbook and has crappy power points that are in no particular order so have fun catching up if you miss a class. HW on outdated system and harder than tests, weirdly.

Worst professor I've ever had. He uses his own program for homework that is so rudimentary and unclear, it makes the homework almost impossible. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE FROM PROFESSOR EAGLE IF FINANCE/MATH IS NOT YOUR FORTE. His PowerPoints on Canvas are incomplete and he is not accommodating to students' circumstances.

Uses a super outdated, confusing, self made program to grade hw. His homework is a million times harder than what he teaches in class. His reading quizzes are unpredictable. 11 students received 40% or less on his last Exam. Expects you to be an excel expert. would not recommend.

He seems to get a kick out of students doin poorly on his quizzes and tests. He makes quizzes and tests extremely hard and does not teach the material clearly enough in class to succeed. Be prepared to teach yourself everything. Probably the worst overall professor I have ever had.

Rigorous, demanding professor that appears to believe the student must work to learn this difficult topic. Do not expect easy, but will always attempt to make himself available through office hours and texting Be prepared to work, and be rewarded with YOUR success, not his.

AVOID HIM! If you want to fail a class then take him. He sets it up so you fail. He never answer a question directly. Tests are near to impossible and his homework grader application is irritating and outdated. There is eightnine homework assignments (the first few are easy the rest are difficult) six quizzes two tests and one final.

Worst teacher I have EVER experienced. He picks out his few star students in the class and caters to them. Does not teach whatsoever. He will put a problem on the board, leave and go to his office, come back 20 minutes later, and never explain how to do the problem. He talks about himself more than the material. Avoid at all costs!

This guy is easily the worst teacher I have ever encountered. And the fact that he is one of the few teachers available to finance majors, it means he is unavoidable. Be prepared to teach yourself. Constantly goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with the subject. His arrogance knows no bounds and he has no respect in his field.

This course is very difficult and attendance is very necessary, but if you go to class and pay attention and ask questions you will do well. He cares about your success and grades on a curve so no one is left behind. He is always there to call or email with any questions. He will ALWAYS help you understand.
