Easily my favorite professor at Iona. If you really want to learn, pay attention to his lectures and participate. I took him for both courses and the same rues apply. He may be long-winded but he genuinely wants to share his knowledge and cares that his students learn the way the world is connected. He respects all opinions. Also hilarious dry wit.

Yes, as many ppl said. participation is important in his class. As long as you participate you will get a good grade. We had 2 true or false test and that is it. But his lecture is confusing.

As long as you participate, you'll get a good grade. Read through the chapters, which are online, and the tests will be easy. Gives two tests. Don't need to buy the textbooks. Share the casework book with someone if anything. He's intelligent and means well, but he goes on multiple tangents.

Greatest management professor. If you like dry sense of humor he will have you laughing through the class with jokes such as: "Where was I? Let me back up a little... well I cannot back up anymore, there is a wall behind me". You will learn tons of vocabulary and current as well as historical events. Extremely knowledgeable! Holds a PhD from NYU!!!

Professor Halpern is a great teacher. If you participate in class youll walk away with a B. He doesnt like to give bad grades. All you have to do is a paper and a couple of 2 page court cases. he is actually funnny too!

Lots of really really useless class discussions. Takes attendance always. Doesn't remember names. Everyone I've spoken to got 30's and so on his test but got B's and C's. Take if you want to pass, but do not expect to learn. I would never take him again.

This class was ridiculous! All we did was class discussions on irrelevant topics and took notes that didn't even make sense. We did one presentation and it took him until almost the end of the semester to give us a test. Could tolerate him - very dry sense of humor & hard to stay awake. I was told an easy A and tests don't count, but BEWARE they do - I participated and did all the projects - didn't do well on the 2 tests & I only got a C+ which I thought was unfair. He's very absentminded too.
