Dr. Knox was a great teacher, dont know why I took this class and though I was in the wrong place but the class was always interesting with guest speakers most days. If you go to class, go over test review this is an Easy A. My favorite teacher at ECU.

Comment:

Classes are very interesting! Attendance is mandatory but well worth going too. All test and quizzes are taken online. Is an easy A if you follow along and take good notes in class, would love to take this class again.

Absolutely loved this class! I learned so much about relationships and life in general. The class is really fun but the tests are very hard and you MUST go to class. Overall, I would take Dr. Knox again.

Comment:

The exams in this class are difficult, and require a lot of textbook reading to ace. That being said, it is worth it for the instruction. The lectures are structures really well, and are really interesting to attend. This class gives you a lot of knowledge about the material, and exposes you to a lot of different lifestyles.

Comment:

Professor Knox is one funny guy. I enjoyed coming to class and hearing him speak along with all the other speakers. COME TO CLASS! Otherwise he knocks off 10 points/class. Tests are online and are pretty difficult.

Comment:

The set up of the class was nice and he had a speaker to go with each lecture. The problem I had with it is he counts attendance the same as a test grade, so skipping 3 classes meant a 70 as a test grade. He also makes you buy his book and you must read it if you want to pass. Answers for his study guides can be found on quizlet.

Comment:

I really loved taking Dr. Knox's class. He is very passionate and has a funny sense of humor. His homework and tests were easy in my opinion. He has 15 online homework assignments that are very easy and 4 tests. The tests are online and all of the answers were found on quizlet. This class is a great elective for all students, not just Soc majors.

Attendance is mandatory and counted as a test grade, even being seen with your phone out is an automatic -10 pts from your grade. The class is about 30 minutes of lecture and an hour of speakers who share personal experience on the topic of the day (which is really interesting). The tests are HARD if you don't read the text (or find a good quizlet)

Knox is AMAZING. Hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable in the material he teaches and makes the class very interesting. DO the study guides and you will do well on tests!! If you want, split it up with people! The note test is very easy and should help your grade! Don't forget to do the Aplia quizzes!!

Class is really interesting because everyday there is a different speaker on a topic in. Attendance is mandatory and you can't have cell phones out. You take all the tests and quizzes online. You also need to buy the textbook and the online subscription that goes along with it.

Every class is extremely interesting, so you won't want to miss. 3 online tests, online final, online quizzes on the chapters through Aplia, and attendance is a test grade. Dr. Knox only lectures for about 30 minutes every class, and the rest is taken up by speakers presenting their experiences with the topics discussed that day. Awesome class!

Dr. Knox is the greatest professor ever! He's old but he's hilarious and pretty savage about certain topics. Attendance is a test grade so you have to go to every class unless you want an F for a test grade. Every class is a different interesting topic with a speaker on the topic so it's never boring.

Dr. Knox is one of the best professors that I've at at ECU. My friend told me about this class and I'm really glad I took it. Make sure you attend class because every time you skip you get -10 off your attendance grade which counts as a test, there is plenty of extra credit opportunities! The key to making an A is doing the study guides.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! Only class that i've every had perfect attendance in because it was such a joy to be there. Tests are on BB and tough but as long as you have a completed study guide you will do great. I would take this class every semester if i could! Knox is such a cool guy, has awesome stories and is very knowledgable about every topic.

LOVE Dr. Knox. Lectures are amazing so you want to go. Attendance is a test grade and every day you miss is 10 points off. All of his tests are off of the textbook (which he wrote) so you need it. Such an interesting class. Offers extra credit. Would take again. Also, if you have relationship problems he encourages you to go to him for help.

No final or midterm, all tests are online. Attendance counts as a test grade, for every class you miss is ten points off, But this class is very interesting so you'll want to come to class everyday. There is online homework, however he gives you like a month to complete each section. He gives you a pretty long study guide, tests are difficult.

Dr. Knox is BY FAR my absolute favorite teacher on campus. His class, Courtship and Marriage, is so interesting that you actually will WANT to attend class even when you consider skipping.... he plays lots of videos and all of the lectures are intriguing. Guest speakers come just about every time you meet as a class. he gives several EC options too
