Its so wonderful to hear that Dr. Levine has not lost his touch. I graduated from southern Jan. 1998, and he was one of my favorite professors. I am thrilled to hear that students are still complementing him. Way to go!!

Comment:

Easily one of my favorites here. An extremely kind-hearted, fun, & understanding man. Took this as a W course, which I thought would be difficult. But his criteria for papers is simple, and there was no other homework aside from a few essays and to look over the reading to have context for class. I wish I could have taken more classes with him.

He's the best out of all the art history teachers Ive had in my opinion. I put him up there with Anahit. Just take notes on what he says, study your notes, and you'll pass. He knows how to give nice lectures.. I love this guy.. don't buy the book.. Exams are based on your notes from the lecture, not your book, so don't buy it.

he was super helpful. such a nice guy. he wants you to go to class and class can be boring but the way i look at it, if you go to class and just sit there ... its an easy A for attendance. he calls on the students but it gives you the answer within the question.

I love Professor Levine! Although his voice is a bit bland, he really makes art come to life! I thoroughly enjoyed this class and it truly made me want to learn more about it. The class is split up into three sections, everything is on the syllabus, tests are straight forward. Great class, great professor.

Dr. Levine is a great teacher who was able to make Baroque Art interesting and enjoyable. We did a lot of writing, but revisions were always allowed. Don't buy the book class because it doesn't help at all--just go to class and take notes. I would definitely take more courses with Dr. Levine. He's one of the nicest, most normal professors!

Dr.Levine is my favorite professor, if every single class I took was taught by him that would be just fine by me! Not only is he extremely competent, he is also incredibly passionate about the field of art history. Also, he speaks a little like Carl Sagan, some people find this makes them sleepy, I totally dig it!
