He does nothing but get mad and try to demean the class because no one is willing to paying attention from his lack of ability to teach a standard class. If you attempt to ask him a question he refuses to answer it until you let him finish what he's teaching and then just moans about how you didn't listen is why you have a question.

Terrible, terrible teacher! Idk how he even got hired in the first place! 1st of he only accomplished a B.A in Math and is some how head of the CS department at Rutgers?!? Does that make any sense? He is a VERY bad teacher and unless you are good at teaching your self, expect or have prior knowledge in the subject do not expect to get an A...

grades too strictly, needs to teach material better. whenever he teaches he never exactly says what he is going over and either brushes one specific topic or rants. He never responds to his emails either. complains about having to write on the board because his arm is disabled but does it anyway (he could type everything too). NEVER TAKE HIS CLASS

We were just following the book the whole time. He told us that he wasn't good with Windows... yet he's still teaching this. There were even times when we actually had to help him, literally, with some steps in the book. He has a good sense of humor. If you do all the assignments, & they are all close to being good, then you can get an 'A'.

I usually rate after the class but we've been through 3 classes and haven't learned anything. He spent 20 minutes explaining how to use Crtl and another key at the same time. This is a java programing class!! He is terrible. He makes HW mandatory but can only lower your grade and not raise it, and shows up 10 minutes late every day.

horrible and you must stay away. not helpful at all. talks way tooooo much... take someone else. he collects hw and takes attendence, but it doesnt help your grade at all when he gives final grades. however, if you dont do hw, it really hurts your grade. you should avoid at all costs.

do not listen to the reviews written by imbersils who cant be bothered to study and simply criticise, this professor is helpful, clear and makes sure his students succeed, unlike other professors at Rutgers. One of the best profs. He is very patient and takes a lot of time explaining things, even to the morons in the class, which is commendable.

oden is a good professor and he is very knowledgeable in java.... take him if u can but the class is a lot of work.. the 1st test is usually tuff but all the other tests, he just uses all the questions from the first exam.. and for the final, just study your midterm exam.. you should do fine.. although a good professor his class can be very boring!

Easiest class ever... after the first test/quiz u have the answer sheet for the ENTIRE course, only problem is he's boring, he takes attendance but attendance isn't mandatory weird... Also is in a classroom NOT a computer lab
