Tells good stories and is funny, witty. Nice guy. Marking seemed fair. You may have trouble in this course if English is not your first language. If you write well, you shouldn't have much difficulty with the course.

TA's marking was always very subjective, but he always gave encouraging words and remembered my name! His lectures were quite useless though. Group activities were unnecessary... would have been more helpful if I could get individual feedbacks. However, my grades did improve a whole lot (from C+ to A) ^_^ I am not sure what the reason was though.

Still have to attend a lecture for the group exercises, which is annoying. -He's interested in the subject matter -Better teacher and marker than Stewart -Some of the stuff he teaches is practical, though I worked in a big office before and memos have gone the way of the dinosaur now that e-mail exists

One of the best profs I have every had! I learned so many valuable writing skills in this class. It is quite a bit of work but well worth it. I recommend everyone take 360 with him.

Agree. Funny, likeable guy. Lectures are enjoyable but useless (read textbook). Hard to get high marks (especially on the main paper). But I hear he is better and easier than Stewart.

Don't really need a prof for this course, you can learn it from the textbook. Patient is quite fair, TAs usually aren't. If you follow textbook, you'll do fine. Don't expect too many A's though...he cheap with those but with good reasoning.

very useful - or i should say, the most useful course i've taken in SFU. he's a funny and nice prof too. although the assignments were kinda hard, it's worth it. the final was extremly long, expect to write till the last minute. but he's the best!

If you ever want to take this class (I guess no one from BA would say no since this is a required course), then take it with David. He made the course more like a "business writing" rather than "English writing" course. Stuff learned
