Comment:
Dr. Pennington is the sweetest professor. I wouldn't recommend taking his class if you have little prior knowledge of chemistry. His lectures can be very confusing, but he is always willing to help you. Dr. P allows you to retake all quizzes and tests for a maximum of an 80. If you are good at chemistry, I would highly recommend him.

Comment:
In my opinion, Dr. Pennington relied too heavily on various abbreviations/symbols that students did not know, making it difficult to follow lectures. You MUST study, and study hard. I never went to the SI sessions, and made a B+ in his class. He is extremely helpful and allows you to re-take tests for partial credit. You'll definitely learn a lot!

This guy may be great in the classroom, but his approach to online classes is awful. I can't decide if it's because he doesn't know what he's doing or he doesn't care. He gives confusing, often incorrect directions that he has to correct later. The curriculum (which has typos) and approach to the subject leave a lot to be desired.

Dr. Pennington is a great teacher, a person would be lucky to get him over any other chem profs. Yeah he is hard, but he explains himself in everyway possible, and yes you need to attend an SI session once a week, if you can't make that then get out of his class.

Very hard teacher, terrible at explaining things, assume you remember everything you learned in high school chem. Jokes are NOT funny. Required to attend SI one night a week at his convenience.

Very difficult prof...expects a lot from those who may not have had chem since sophomore year of high school. If you cannot attend the SI meetings, he tends to think you do not care enough.
