Quizes and exams were nothing like mid-term and exam. He made the exam worth 75% and then proceeded to fail half the people i know. went from a 77% down to 38%... his book is horrible. he doesn't help because "Its in the book".

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Does a great job of explaining things, always willing to answer questions in detail. Very organized course. I learned a great deal in his class. I did not like that we were allowed to use any type of calculator for the exam. People with good calculators had a clear advantage. Exam was hard but fair.

I actually like David Poole. It takes a semester or two to get use to his teaching style. I find him really nice and funny. Some things are hard, but I find linear algebra hard in general. I actually find him 20x better than my first year algebra prof. Math2200 (reasoning) was a very good class by Poole.
