GREAT PROF. Super clear, engaging lectures. Doesn't make you memorize unnecessary details. Uses great examples to make the content relatable and repeats himself a lot to make concepts stick. He's doesn't overload content, and even cancelled a few classes because we were ahead. A VERY FAIR tester. ALL MC, no tricky questions, 1 right answer. AMAZING

RAGSDALE IS MY FAVORITE PROF!!! He knows his material so well and lectures engagingly and interestingly. He explains things in a straightforward way but that is not oversimplified. He takes time for you to understand the concepts and his section is much more conceptual than memorization heavy.

His explanations are consistently very good, and you can tell he put a lot of effort into planning his lectures. He speaks very clearly and takes his time introducing and dissecting more complex subjects.

Amazing professor! He makes it clear on what's gonna be tested and still inspires us with stories and examples. Lectures are clear and all pictures or experiments are well explained so don't need to worry about memorizing. He tries his best to make fair and challenging questions.

Best class I've taken at McGill so far. There was a lot to remember, but his exams were fair (A- class average as final grade) and he really made lectures interesting by telling stories to help us remember the material. Would take ANAT 321 again in a heartbeat.

He drones on a bit, but, overall an excellent professor because he's not trying to make you MEMORIZE terms and functions, but because he repeats things from the beginning of the course throughout the course, the concepts, ideas, and mechanisms come to you almost intuitively, making the exams doable. Just review and you'll be gold for the exam.

Easily my favourite prof at McGill! He recognizes that ANAT courses are so content heavy that you never really retain much from them, so he tries to drill in a few key concepts that I still remember 2 years later. Clear explanations, repeats important concepts, tests fairly and is so engaging you want to go to class just to listen to him!

OMG THIS PROF IS AMAZING. Honestly, he's responsible for my interest in the life sciences AT ALL (and I'm majoring in astronomy lol). Super amazing lectures, his explanations and notes are SO GOOD. Exam questions are DIRECTLY related to the lectures (no trying to trick y'all). Excellent excellent professor. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Take this class if interested in Cook's section of PHGY 210. Mostly about the sensory systems and a large part about motor function. Things become fairly abstract at the end of the course. Interest in the topic is important. Content can be hard to understand. A LOT TO MEMORIZE and A LOT TO UNDERSTAND. Overall, good class. Ragsdale is a great prof!

A very interesting class that really makes you understand the functional parts of the brain. Dr. Ragsdale's lectures were very engaging and its clear that he is passionate about teaching. There is a good amount of material by the final but Dr. Ragsdale provides very clear expectations on what he wants you to know. Overall its a great class to take!

His voice is more soothing than Morgan Freeman's. He is the only physiology teacher I feel like I retained any information from. Best teacher ever.

cares for his students, clear exam questions, not out to trick you. Extremely interesting material that he goes through at a great pace. So even though it is a science that requires a bit of memorization, most of it is already in your head if you attend lectures. Doesn't pack his lectures with unnecessary, nitty gritty names and details .
