Comment:
Ross is good. I wish he used textbooks for his courses. I was always lost in the course while he is demanding, in some way a kind spirit is badly missing in him. His behavior is a bit elite.,

Dr. Ross is both the chillest and strictest professor I've ever had. He is extremely helpful and nice. If you show up to his office hours with a question he will drag you across the finish line even if it may take up hours of his time. Be warned that he doesn't give partial credit. I get 0's on my homework. Students suffer a lot.

absolutely no appetite for criticism, half smart, fully elite, and partially ignorant on other things. very narrow point of view. a stickler for asking ".but why? I don't understand ." He needs to be told that contrary to his personal belief, the Earth and Math do not revolve around him.

I could not make this instructor happy. Maybe I am not smart. But he is very demanding and I failed. I would not even go near his office.

let's put it this way: as difficult as a third degree non-linear non-homogeneous differential equation with non-constant coefficients. Initial conditions are sweat and pain.

When I took his class his grading went like so: - HW (100 or 0) - Quiz every other week (100 or 0) - Exam every month (standard) - Final counts for every grade lower than it If you are diligent, you pretty much guarantee atleast a B. But if you decide to skip class, the final exam may look greek to you.

You can take discrete math and stats I and II and it would be equivalent to this. David Ross just makes the course more confusing than it needs to be. It's better just to avoid him.

Comment:
I don't understand the point in taking prob and stats when you can take discrete math and a stats course. But David Ross is not someone you want to take this class with, he is a researcher, not a teacher. You will learn nothing in this course, it's just a stats course that he made way more difficult than it needed to be.

The best professor I ever had in RIT thus far. Fun and interesting lectures. However, he's NOT an easy professor and his tests are challenging, although they are totally not impossible. I took the class as an elective and I'm glad that he was my teacher. Nice Bronx accent too.

Awesome teacher. Was able to make the material interesting, and did so whenever possible. Lectures were extremely clear and very helpful. Quizzes were fair, and consisted of homework questions. Tests were a challenge, but no harder than all the other sections of Calc 3. This guy was into what he was teaching 100%. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ross is a nice guy, but he lectures fast and you really need to pay attention to everything he does. The tests are extremely hard, but the homeworks aren't graded and the quizzes are moderately easy. He is approachable, but it is necessary to work really hard to understand all the material. He is overall an okay teacher...

Dr. Ross is amazing, simply put. He's very clear and well-organized during lectures, and gives very challenging, but stimulating, worksheets. His policy on homework is generous and allows plenty of freedom from test to test. His exams, however, are very intensive and require a lot of thought. All in all, He's the best math teacher I've had yet.
