hard to stay awake in this class but he is nice guy. He never changes his lectures up, its always talking for the whole time and maybe putting something on the board. Tests are straight out of book and he gives you study guides before each one.

Tough to pay attention/stay awake. He can't help how boring the material can be, though. Gives you a study guide a week or so before the test. All you need to do is go through this handout and look all of the stuff up in the book. No need to read the book or pay attention in class.

Test are hard, but he is a kool teacher. He is helpful when you ask for help. Make sure you read the book because if you don't you will be lose during his lectures. He is pretty funny when he lectures.

Honestly, I do not know how anyone can give this man a good review! This is the most difficult intro class I have ever taken! I went to every class, studied for atleast 5 hours for all his tests and I still did poorly! DON'T TAKE HIM!

Great professor! had for comp. and amer. politics, he knows his stuff very well and enjoys teaching it making it easy to learn. his door is always open and he is willing to work with students who try. after taking his class i felt i had learned very much and had a greater interest in poli sci.

Really into this stuff, but doesn't like to waste time. Makes you sit through a two hour lecture before you take the test which kind of bites. He only gives three tests and those are your grades and the test were a little hard. He takes off for spelling too! But he is really nice and enthusiastic about the class, and wants for you to understand.

Professor Syfert is a great teacher! He loves poli sci and is very funny and entertaining! The only grades are 3 tests, and everything is right out of the book. The tests will be simple if you read the book. He is a very nice man and will help you if you ask for it. I truly enjoyed his class, and I made an A. Take him if you can!!!

Worst Pols. teacher ever. Very unclear, jumps around a lot, asks us "Are you guys ok with this" after every sentence. very patronizing and very very very very very liberal. Do not take his class unless you want to be bored out of your mind.
