Overall very caring/genuinely kind. Very passionate about the material which made the long lectures a little more bearable, though they dragged on for a bit too long at time. Found that his exams were more abt regurgitating information rather than testing you on your understanding but he was clear about what it takes to get an A so I didn't mind.

He is a nice guy but very all over the place and hard to follow in class. His lectures are disorganized, he says he welcomes questions but penalizes people for 'wasting time' when they do so. His reads too fast and jumps around between 5 different papers in a single class. Overall, he is passionate but struggles to convey his ideas coherently

had him for ancient philos in the summer then took media ethics just because I liked him. he's not the best lecturer - it's hard to take notes, he goes off on a lot of tangents and is pretty disorganized - but a really nice person. pretty easy grader too - he's scatterbrained so he barely notices when things are late. wish he used OWL more.

this prof is amazing, and one of the best people i ever had the oppurtunity to know. a challenging, yet inspiring course that allows you to critically understand difficult material in an engaging way.

If you are taking Business Ethics and not familiar with philosophy, this is not the course for you. His scatteredness can only be followed by philosophy students, and his TAs marked the papers very hard. When I sat down to write essays, I found it very challenging to start. Save yourself the trouble and choose another elective.

Comment:
His lectures are a little scattered and can be hard to follow. There are no slides, just a couple notes on the board. Not a class that you can take if you're not going to pay attention. He seems very fair and like he genuinely wants his students to do well. He read out of the textbook a lot which helped because you only had to know what he has read

if you're a business student and never took philosophy before, DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE!! Dean is a very nice prof, he loves what he does, and he is very helpful. however, the material is just too mush for BMOS students.

It was existentialism but he was still a bit scattered, but he was honest about how much he did the readings too. Not too much reading at all and he means very well!

Enthusiastic. Does his best to make some pretty unclear material as clear as possible. Very willing to talk to students about course material outside of class hours.

His Lectures are long, definitely expect the full three hours, but if you come to class having read the text, usually 10-15 pages for the week, it is not hard to follow. Assigned essays are a reasonably length and the marking is fair.

Refuses to use technology, paces from one slide of the lecture hall to the other throughout the lecture - to the point of hurting your neck if you follow. Always arrives late to class, never hands out assignments on time but expects them in on time. Never marks them in a reasonable time. Would not recommend this professor.

Just as others have said, he is super enthusiastic and passionate about what he is teaching but comes off as a very hypocritical prof when he attempts to make the class feel bad about their lifestyle and then reminds them he is no better. Last assignment he wanted in, kept for four weeks and told the class up front he hasn't looked at them.

He was a nice guy but pretty confusing. Always late and always held us after class. He paced around the room a LOT. Overall though he was nice, nice to look at, and a decent prof. I'd take his class again.

Not a good professor at all. painfully left wing and likes to push his socialist ideals on the students. If you are in any way capitalist, I'm sure that something he says will rub you the wrong way. lectures are un-engaging. Would not recommend
