I love Dr. Brown! She is very kind and passionate about teaching. She wants all of her students to succeed and is always there if you need extra help. There are only 2 exams and they are kind of hard but she does review sessions before them. Loved her class overall and you will do well if you go to class and study for the exams.

Comment:

A sweet lady who truly cares, she would be amazing for some students. However you sit there and learn about how to teach a classroom, which she doesn't do. The activities are simply "find answers from book" and it is very dull overall. Directions are unclear but she does provide clarification. Overall not a bad teacher but definitely not for me.

Dr. Brown is a great ed psych professor. There is a lot of textbook reading, but you only have to answer the questions in the objectives on D2L. She does a great job at presenting the material effectively and utilizing the teaching strategies she teaches.

Comment:

Professor Brown is incredibly kind and understanding. The workload is pretty manageable, but for this class you have to go out to a school and observe a teacher. The exams aren't so terribly hard either, as long as you come to class, she usually gives hints at the answers. I had to purchase 2 textbooks, but otherwise reading isn't that heavy.

Exams are hard. Theres a part 1 and a part 2 which makes two exam dates. Each one is very very heavy with bard/detailed open ended questions. Quizzes are matching & more open ended. The tests in this class are the death of me. 2 exams & 2 quizzes & no final exam, a project instead. 1 small 5point extra credit moment.

Brown is such a sweet and experienced prof. She brings a lot of knowledge to the class and you leave having learned SO much. Her tests are very thorough, but she tests straight from the objectives (given at the beginning of the course) so as long as you study well you can expect an A in the course. All assignments are relevant and practical.

Professor brown is an AMAAAAAZING teacher! She is very kind, very sweet and she is motivated to help her students! Her feedbacks on papers will warm your heart! She is a very blessed teacher! If you have an opportunity to take her, please do! It was so hard leaving for Christmas break she was so awesome, we all wanted to cry. She's awesome!! A++

Wealth of knowledge and a fantastic teacher. Really helps you along with the material, since there is a ton of it. Exams are moderately tough, but she provides good study guides and short answer topics. Provides great feedback on all your work and it would be nearly impossible not to do well in this class.

She is a really caring professor. She wants all her students to do the very best they can and will help if you go to her for anything. She is a really easy grader, I've only gotten A's in her class but don't take the easy A for granted because there is a lot of information to be learned. If she taught the next level course I would take her.

Sweetest professor who really cares about her students. Although there is a lot of memorization required and the two tests contain a lot of material, she does her best to help you prepare and she tells you what you'll be tested on. Some lectures were very interesting and she definitely practices what she teaches.

She's extremely knowledgeable and I'm glad she's also my advisor. The quizzes are hard but I study some for the tests and got a A on both of them. There are two major writing assignments that were easy as long as some thought were put into them. Super nice and clever.

Such a sweet lady! Knows what she is talking about! Sometimes she can be a little boring, but she is passionate about education. She is extremely helpful and is always willing to help if you go to office hours (especially with the 2 papers you have). As long as you read, do the study guides, & study, you'll get an A. Dr. Brown is a great professor! She is so very nice and understanding. Her tests are sort of difficult and there is a lot of material, but she gives you a study guide before you start learning the material, so keep up with it and you're golden. A great professor and I highly recommend!

Sweetest lady I have ever met. She's not easy, but if you do her study guides, you can get an A on the test. She's not the most exciting of speakers, but she's extremely knowledge of the subject area. I would take her again and again. Don't miss out.
