Dr. Dempsey is incredibly intelligent. I would not have wanted to take this class with any other professor. She kept class very interesting, and the grading criteria was minimal and fair. However, participation is required, which was difficult coming in with little theological knowledge. I sometimes did feel out of place in a theology class.

Great professor! Highly recommended! TAKE HER!!! You won't regret it (although classes are kind of dry, her lectures are usually dotted with oddend stories that make class interesting. Plus she's pretty easy!)

Dr. Dempsey is an amazing professor. She's extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and her classes are pretty interesting, even if you're not necessarily enthusiastic about Theology. THEO 1001 is easyâ€"you don't even need to read the book too closely (though it might help), as lecture notes will get you by on all the quizzes/exams.

I love Dr. Dempsey! She's very clear and goes over the material right before taking the quizzes so there's no way you can do poorly on them. The readings are short and she keeps class interesting. I highly recommend taking her.

She was one of my favorite professors and I found her class so interesting because she went into the history and archaeology behind the old testament. She really cares about all of her students. If you pay attention the class is very easy because she goes over all of the readings and will clarify any questions. I highly recommend her.

Easy class if you pay attentions. There are four/five quizzes, one midterm & Unit Paper. At times she goes off to weird & random topics, but she makes sure that she goes over what will be on the quiz.My favorite teacher, because of how helpful & nice she is & very laid back. Dr. Deidre Dempsey was my favorite teacher out of all my professors by a large margin, she made theology extremely interesting discussing the archeology behind it and the history behind the finds, etc. Just unbelievably interesting. I wished I had taken her class more than twice, but I couldn't fit the 3rd theo class in her scheds. A+

Dr. Dempsey is a PHENOMENAL teacher, and also just a wonderful person. She's the kind of teacher who goes up to YOU when she sees you out of class, because she genuinely cares. Further, she really knows her stuff when it comes to the Old Testament. I highly recommend hr.

Dr. Dempsey is awesome! I chose her b/c of this site & I don't regret it at all. I went in with little theology knowledge and she did a great job keeping the class interesting while teaching. The readings are short and the quizzes are easy to get good grades on because she always covers the material in class. Highly recommended!

AMAZING teacher! She actaully managed to make theology interesting and a class I looked forward to going to. She is very clear, helpful, and incredibly nice. If you do the readings (which doesn't take long) and go to class you will do very well.(6-7 quizes, One 3-5 page paper, 1 final) I HIGHLY recommend taking her!
