Expectation for this class are way too high, didn't know that It was a Eng245SPH245. Looks too much into the background of the material instead of the statements that are being made, I.E. if there's clouds and water on the ground it must of rained but her correction to you is no someone could of hosed the road off. REALLY?? anyway ticky tak stuff.

Amazing professor! Very helpful and makes sure you understand before continuing. STUDY STUDY STUDY! You will not pass her testsquizzes without studying! And show up! Learning another language isn't easy without putting in the time and effort. Can't wait to have her for a second semester!

Professor Escalante was a great instructor! She gave plenty of handouts which were useful because they always covered a little more than the exam; if you studied and could do the handouts, the exams were pretty easy. The online tutorials were helpful as were the assignments. She was also very fair with her grading.

BEST SPANISH TEACHER HANDS DOWN. She is so helpful and nice and doesn't make you feel stupid for making mistakes. Take her if possible. You earn your grade but it's easy.

I had Sra. Escalante for both accelerated SPA101&SPA102. I found the class pace to be fast&lessons and instructions to be completely clear. She was very patient when students mangled and mispronounced Spanish. She taught in English, but once the lesson was taught students were expected to listen to her in Spa and respond in Spa. Amazing Teacher!

Took for Intensive Spanish - beware if you've never had any SPA before. Overall good instructor but definatley have to earn your A. Lots of hwk and memorizing and oral work because of the fast pace. She teaches in English. Good thorough explainations and well thought out format for class.

I took advanced Spanish with Escalante back in 98-99 when I was at Phx College. She gives extra attention to her students and lots of chances for extra credit. The classes were small too, so that helped.
