Denise gives pop quizzes all the time on the vocabulary sheet she hands out and expects you to still maintain your other classes, plus her 2-4 hour class plus still put in extra time to complete your art projects. This class is extremely hands on and must mainly be worked at during class, take home projects are unacceptable.

First of all, I already rated Denise and so did other from her class last semester, and none of them are showing up?! This professor is awful! Unfair grader and expects too much from the students who are only taking this as an elective. Should be a seperate course for art majors!

For an art class, this is one of the cheaper classes to take. The prof. only makes you buy the clay and chip in a small amount of money for glazes, and that's it. Most art classes can get really expensive, this is a great way to knock out the required art class for cheap....class is fun too!

Denise is as others have stated very good at what she does. I've had a great time in her intro to ceramics class. Her style of teaching is very straight forward: here's the assignment, I'll help you in class, and you finish it before next class. Most assignments can be completed in class. She comes around and helps each person out. Fair grader
