This is a very easy class. If you don't like art then I would go ahead and take this for your art credit. yeah, its boring but it's nice to have a class that so easy that your don't ever have to worry about it. The teacher is lenient, will even let you make up exam if ur absent.

A mind-numbingly easy Core requirement, a lecture and a lab day, but lecture is usually just explaining how do to the lab next class, and he posts the step-by-step instructions for the lab on Blackboard, so there's really no need for the lecture. Tests are T/F. Easy A.

Going to class is pointless most of the time. If I knew class was going to be this way, I would've just read the book instead of going to class and it would have been easier. Don't take him unless you can find another professor. Do so if you can read the book and rely on youtube for examples.

Comment:

Dr. Hamilton is very monotone and boring. He taught mostly by example which is fine but I fell asleep most of his lectures. He only gives true false questions and spent WAY to long on boolean algebra instead of the memory stuff. I would't recommend taking him.

Very easy gen ed. The professor isn't very helpful, but the class is just so easy. I didn't go to one single lecture and I got an A-. Just go to the labs (every Thurs) and you'll knock it out in 20 minutes. 12 labs worth 60% of your grade, 4 tests (20 MC or T/F questions) worth the other 40%. He puts vocab up the day before each test.

He gives only true or false questions. Answers are misleading and he does provide the correct answers after the test. Homework is all from the text book. His exam reviews are useless.He does not check emails. We have already had a graduation ceremony and he has still not posted the grades yet. Dont take his class.

Easy class to take. I don't know anything about computers, but i got through it. Don't need to attend the lecture. When you have an exam he puts up a vocab sheet the week before which is completely sufficient to pass the test. Labs are easy and he helps if you need it.

so this guy is old! the class you can get by without knowing much about whats going on, the hws not bad but OMG at his tests! the tests are nothing like his class, his review doesnt help much, theres no study guides, and his advice is to look at the book... which actually didnt have half the stuff you need! and his lectures are boring, hes pretty grumpy and lik another said, very untrusting of students. honesTly, dont take this class with him, i regret that i am though i didnt have a choice =(

This class and this teacher is a joke! Easy A, just show up to the labs, they only take about 20 minutes. Tests are fairly easy. Lectures put you to sleep. If you're looking for an easy gen-ed, this is your guy.

Grumpy old man. Teaches computer science classes but still doesn't understand how his e-mail works (not joking). Doesn't trust any student; believes we'd all cheat in an instant. Homework is textbook questions from stuff learned in class and labs; tests are 90% from the textbook, 10% from class. Anal retentive and unpleasant.

Nicest man... Easiest class! Highly recommend -- Attendance not required at all just have to complete everything but a date he specifies... Very easygoing - Tests straight vocabulary.. Easy and interesting GenEd!

Very nice guy! He truly cares about the success of his students, and cares about what he's teaching. He's very willing to help his students. The lectures are pretty boring, but come on - it's computers!

easy class. lecture was a bore. he took attendance but i dont think it counted. I only ever went to lab and the tests and made a 100%. labs are easy... he gives you directions for exactly what you need to do. tests were also easy. nice guy

Wanted to learn alot in this class, learned enough. Man knows his stuff, but can only give it out one way. Class-wide study sessions recommended; students teach topics they understand. Good luck and take someone else.

Weekly labs can be done at home if you have the software, if not show up to lab once a month and try to knock a few out at once. Tests were all multiple choice or T/F. Don't buy the books, you can look up the terms for the tests online. Takes attendence but only 5 of us (out of 30) would show up to lecture. I dont think he actually counts it.

Great teacher, just follow his rules, be on time for class he takes attendance, get homework in on time, dont even think about missing a test. Two tests mid term worth 35% and final worth 45%. Has a few graded homework assignments. ALL TESTS WERE TRUE/FALSE or MULTIPLE CHOICE so they were easy if you studied. Easy A.

He's really helpful and easy to understand. He loves what he teaches and I really enjoyed the classes. Labs are simple, and tests aren't too hard. You don't really need to come to half of the classes. I recommend him.
