I found him to be very unhelpful. It was super hard to judge where my standing was during the semester. He never looks his students in the eye and never really gives a straight answer or gives them any ideas for improvement.

Best way to get help is to go to his office hours. You TRULY need to work for a good grade, showing up to class will not get you an A. Considered dropping this class more than once but I stuck it out and ended up doing fairly well. Make sure to take good notes and pay attention in lab.

He really knows his stuff! Smart guy! I like the labs way better then the class. He does go off powerpoints and has a online reading rubric article you should look at. he does grade very hard. Very Very Hard! but lets you use a notecard on all tests/quizzes/midterms/finals.

Good guy, bad Professor. explanations suck. Uses powerpoint, not the best way to teach a class. If I could grade him on his teaching skills, he'd most likely get an F, actuallly an F-. All the people that like him are soon to be scientists, for the regular person, avoid him at all costs. If you have to take his classess, just switch your major now.

This is INTRO to soil science, I feel as though I have to have a pHD to understand what he is attempting to teach. His philosophy of teaching is that he can only teach so much, we have to make up for the rest. Example; Brief lecture using powerpoint, brief explanation of the assignment, heres the work, have at it, your basically on your own.

I had him for forestry a while back. I really liked the subject and had a big background of doing my own studies with trees. However, I don't think he liked it when my answers on the test were more related to my studies and not his lectures. He gives alot of busy work. Also isnt very clear about assigning assignments and I got suprized a few times (check the syllabus). I ended up with a D+ so I went back to being a business major seeing as I couldn't even do well in the subject I knew most about in biology.
