Dennis Peters is an EXTREMELY hard marker and loves to crucify you on your midterm. His lectures are dragged out and boring and not necessary to attend. He means well, and likes to see his students do well but overall his methods of teaching are not very successful. The assignments are also very difficult and timely.

This guy will absolutely sewer you on tests. TAKE A DIFFERENT PROF FOR ENG 1020!!!! The class last semester got as far in the course as we did by our midterm!!! Assignments are REDIC!! Nice guy but being the head of comp-electri engineering, he has high expectations

Pretty much my favorite man on campus. C++ was totally new to me, and I still pulled a great grade out of it. Mostly, I'm sure, due to the constant e-mails back and forth between myself and Peters. Always one to encourage questions. Loved him. Helped me with an out-of-class project then, and is currently helping me with one now!

As stated previously, he is just that BORING in lectures, if you have a question don't go to you lab, it's no real help, just go to him, he is a great help outside of class because you are asking him a problem you have specifically. He really has done it all so he knows what you're going through, which is a plus.

He had good reputation in teaching before but my experience was bad (Winter 2005). I also heard that he had an extreamly bad record on supervising his students in research. Anyway, i passed the course.
