He is very enthusiastic about philosophy and loves what he teaches. I had him at 9am and every class he was just as engaging as the last. He is a wonderful professor, who is fair grader, but gives you a lot of helpful comments for you to improve. Take a class with him!

Such a wonderful man, and very smart but will be careful not to talk over your head. Approachable; LOVES it when students go up to his office to talk about anything. Will expect more of you if he knows you're smart. I'm planning on taking a class in an area I don't even care about because I know he'll make it interesting anyway.

Despite what others might think, I DON'T LIKE HIM. I am planning to major in philosophy but this guy made my philosophy classes a living hell for me. He is such a baby-sitter and does not let you know even if there is problem with your reasoning. Stupid comments often get the reply "very interesting". I would recommend Andrew Pessin for PHI 101.

Prof. Turner is my favorite professor at the school. He is one of the nicest people, in class and out, that I've ever met, and he is also an outstanding philosopher. And a great teacher. Wonderful mix of lecture and discussion, and of tangents and focus. I can't think of anything negative to say.

Everyone should take a class with Turner. He is one of my favorite professors ever. Relevant, fun, and interesting readings. Helpful class notes and lectures. He carefully considers students' questions and opinions. Always well-prepared and cheerful! My one complaint is that he sometimes lets kids talk too much. So adorable too! I am in love! :)
