Good class for non-science majors but make sure you read; she took the time to sit down & go over each concept I was confused about during office hours. Tests arent the easiest but quite doable if you read; the last exam we had was hard though. Lectures are straight out of the textbook & a bit boring

Terrible professor I took her class in the 2000s and collaborated with another student on a two sentence homework assignment. She accused us of cheating since our answers were nearly the same. We offered to take a 0 on the assignment. Nope, not good enough. Made us go through the judicial process and made our lives hell. Ultimately won months later

Professor Linden is awesome. I've taken several classes with her. This was the first semester she taught COGS 292, and you could tell we were the guinea pigs. She gave us a lot of very interesting articles and had lots of worksheets to do. This course has a lot more science (biology focus) than most Cognitive Science courses.

I really enjoyed Dr. Linden as a professor. She is witty, a little out there and a fair grader. Even though her class was lecture style, it was still interesting and engaging. She's a pretty groovy lady.

She's the best. If you don't like her as a professor it's because you did not try hard enough. She is nothing but helpful and is always wiling to sit down with her students. For those of you who didn't enjoy her class or the way she's teaching it is probably because you were too dense to understand her methods. She's the best.

I was very interested in the class at the beginning but quickly realized that it wouldn't be what I expected. The class was centered around one single autobiography/nobel prize essay. It wasn't a very interesting book and she didn't bring in any outside articles or information. The prompts for essays were poorly written and we had nothing to go off

Professor Linden really likes teaching, or at least it seems like it. She's enthusiastic about her subject (her speciality is the Brain), and she's also conducted large amounts of research on her own. She's always available for questions, but the class notes she gives are so comprehensive that it's rare to have to ask for help.

Professor Linden may seem intimidating at first, but she is actually a really nice woman and a good teacher. She gave us little reading, explained everything very clearly with visual aids, and made very clear what she was going to test us on. Still, I do not recommend Cog Sci 101, but she made it bearable.

awful professor all-around. Her lecture style somehow makes a fascinating subject seem like torture. As for teaching a CSP course, she clearly knows very little about writing - she reiterates what the Core Department has told her and after that is useless. I was incredibly disappointed with her class.

Really nice, a little indtimidating, but has a great sense of humor during lectures. She knows her stuff really well and did a good job teaching us a semesters worth of stuff in three weeks. Her tests are hard though, at least 5 or 6 answers to multiple choice.

Well it was a co-taught class with Linden and Brighouse. Linden's lectures were more clear, and it was nice how she posted the notes so you didn't have to go to class. Unfortunatly she was a little spacey and didn't remember meeting previously with you. And she was a very intimidating teacher as well.

Linden is nice...she likes to talk, but her lectures are kind of confusing. It was hard for me to figure out if she really knew /believed in what she was talking about. she always seemed kind of confused. Thankfully what she lectures about is interesting.

She WANTS to help and she LOVES teaching, she just needs you to help her in the process. Not the best lecturer and doesn't always understand questions, but has a good heart and the best of intentions. Help her understand what you're asking and she's wonderful.
