Professor Cypkin is kind and will help you if you go to her. She is very clear about how she wants your speech to be organized, follow the instructions and do not read or memorize your speech and you will get a good grade. 4 speeches, super easy midterm and final. Only used the textbook to study for exams.

Dont waste ur time or money. This professor clearly thinks she's an English teacher. She will grade ur work not by the quality of the content but because she didnt like how it was worded or because she thinks another term could have been used. Dont bother taking anything she teaches! u can tell this is a lonely miserable person. Never again!

Only had 4 speeches to do and all were pretty easy. She tells you what she wants in each of them and how to organize it. A midterm and a final were given, but they were extremely easy as in barely have to study easy. If you take public speaking I recommend taking her class.

While Professor Cypkin is a very knowledgeable actress, her delivery of her critiques were horrendous. She came off as very rude sometimes. The course was Acting for Non-Theater Majors... NON-THEATER MAJORS! She definitely graded on talent though. She gave specific number grades for performances. As an intro course, she should've graded on effort!

I honestly don't know what to say. She's the nicest person outside of the classroom, but the nastiest, meanest professor inside. She takes off so many points for minor errors, and the class is supposed to be acting for NON THEATER majors. This class has been the biggest letdown I've ever had at Pace. Hopefully, someone else teaches it in the future

What a let down! Although she seems nice at first, if you disagree with her over a little thing, she goes out of her way to barely give you a B. Grades on talent, not effort, and the class is called Acting for non-Theater majors. And her final was from the ninth circle of hell, too specific over something that should be demonstrated, not written.

She's not too hard but she does demand a lot of work. You have to do four speeches and if you read it to her she WILL make you do it again without looking at her paper. Nice lady, but come to class on time, because she will call you out. Overall an OK class. I wouldn't recommend if you just want an easy class. She does give As.

Everyone says that she is mean and she never gives an A. This is not true because I got an A. If you show up to every class you will be fine. Send your speeches to her prior to giving them because she likes to see that you care. She always let's you out of class early and she is a good teacher. Take her if you can ! :)

She really is not a good teacher at all. I do not recommend anyone taking this class with her if you do not have to. She is very rude during classes. Public speaking is hard enough for a lot of people and she makes it even harder. She makes rude comments and criticizes the work that you do. She is not willing to help when asked.

Somebody put her down because of what she says about getting A's, but the woman is right, I haven't seen any A worthy person in my public speaking class. Do your best youll be fine
