BUAD309 online over winter session with her was actually the most unfair class I have EVER had the misfortune of taking. I watched 5 hours of lectures/week, had 8-10 writing assignments, MindTap and still had a C- after all of this, so I had to drop the class halfway through. Everyone who takes this class during the sem gets an A. Dont take this.

Worst class I've taken. Seriously, do not take online classes with this prof. HORRIBLE lectures. reads off the slide, doesn't explain anything. Class should not be hard based on the materiel but because of the lack of resources it makes this class and exams more difficult. time consuming assignments that don't help AT ALL for the exam.

The class is incredibly boring, but she really knows her stuff and makes you apply it in assignments. Online quizzes are nice, BUT ARE NOT AS EASY AS THEY SEEM so do a bit of studying beforehand too. Group project is a decent experience, and gives opportunity to raise grade. Go to class and participate (20%), and get yourself known.

Most boring class ever. She is so dry, and class was a total waste. I don't feel like I learned anything in that class. Quizzes were online but timed and difficult, worth 50% percent of your grade! Participation is 20%, so you must participate. She is often dissatisfied with students answers. Like we have any idea! Don't take unless you have to.

The most boring class I've ever taken at UD but you have to go to lecture bc class participation is 20% of your grade. All she does is read off the powerpoints in the most mundane way possible. All her tests are on canvas and open book. If you read you'll do okay but the non-text related questions are extremely difficult to answer.

Honestly one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Expects students to read 60+ pages, and quizzes are online with a time constraint so getting the answer is often difficult (worth 40%). Has unrealistic writing expectations, and is crazy about citations (but does not even know the format herself). Find another prof for whatever class your taking

the class was fine but her lectures are the most boring things ever. reads notes off powerpoints. no point in coming to class, but if you dont then your participation grade will hurt you. if you have a good group, you will enjoy the class. cool information if you like strategy or management. exams are online and open book

Comment:

Ferry is a tough teacher with a very old-school style of teaching. She outlines the book and presents via powerpoint for her lecture. You are required to perform group work. KNOW YOUR STUFF! She smells bs. You take various open-note, online timed quizzes which is made up of your test grades. No HW. One big group project. A solid professor.

Comment:

Ferry is a tough cookie for sure. The first few weeks of the class she taught like a robot and showed no emotion. Her lectures are terribly boring. Throughout the semester she lightened up a bit and showed some emotion and acted like an actual human being. This is an ok class, you'll learn some stuff and it's not incredibly hard.

Took the class online and was the worst experience ever. Expected the class to be hard but the exams were near impossible. Terribly boring lectures and no clear explanation of how to study for the exam. Spent hours and hours studying just to fail the exams, only good thing is there is homework to help bring up your grade.

Only take this class if you love busy work. Class time is 100% filled with going over questions from the textbook. I can't respect a professor who does not create their own lectures. Grade is based on class participation, online quizzes, and a group project on a country that as ridiculous guidelines. The only upside is no exams in the class.

If you want to have a horrible time in class, listen to a monotone voice read straight from PowerPoints with 75+ words per slide, and never understand what is going to be on the tests/quizzes because she does not explain anything clearly, then this class is for you.

Course was interesting with a great deal of class participation. Professor was very open to group discussion and conducted class in a manner that students could learn from each others experiences. There was a vast amount of writing during the course. Professor seemed to grade papers harsher on spelling and grammar than content.

Offers no unique insight into management practices. If you need the definition of leadership read or teamwork read to you word for word like bullet points, this course is for you. Absolutely does not care about the students either and approaches assignments like factory production, it's all about mindless production. Worst class I took at UD

Honestly does not know the content of the class. Relied way too much on a student in class who was from Asia and actually knew what she was talking about. I have no idea what she would have done without that student. Assigned 4 country reports and graded harshly in regards to grammar and writing technicalities. Tests were easy.
