Comment:

Pretty easy; theres about five crosswords/drag n drops, a short mini essay, and a timed 10 min quiz each week. Each stays open for two weeks. The quizzes are hard since each chapter is packed with LOTS of info to remember in 10 min, and you only get one attempt. Theres two 50 question midterms and a 100 question cumulative final. Average prof.

I'd say this class is pretty easy. There is a quiz, mini essay, discussion and some crossword and matching assignments weekly. You can't move ahead in assignments. The book is expensive since it's her book. You have little to no interaction with the professor but if you email her, she will get back to you. There isn't any extra credit. Easy grader

I took her Anthro 161 class online and it was pretty easy as long as you read and do the assignments. The crossword puzzles and hot potato quizes are easy if you read and you get 3 chances to get them right. The class got more interesting as the weeks went by. I'd recommend this professor.

I took this course online. It was extremely easy. As long as you do the reading and follow the directions you'll be just fine. There is a lot of work to do. Every week she has a quiz, mini-essay, discussion forum, and about 4-5 homework exercises such as crossword puzzles. Overall, it was an easy class and I would recommend this professor.

I thought the class was pretty boring, which is a shame because originally I was looking forward to it. I also felt that the textbook was poorly written, but it's required because she wrote it. I did learn from the class and finished with an A, but I definitely wouldn't take it again or recommend it.

Levine is a pretty easy teacher. There's a short writing assignment and quiz due every week. Tests are easy if you read the book. She lets you use a flashcard during tests. Lectures are taken straight from the book but she takes attendance. Final is cumulative. There are also extra credit opportunities. You can get an A if you do homework and read.

Mrs. Levine is one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. She's extremely knowledgeable, well-traveled, and is a very personable professor. She wrote the textbook and tells a lot of family stories which is extremely helpful!

The worst teacher I have ever had. She does not explain any questions. Starts in the middle of chapters and back tracks. Is not clear on what is on tests or what homework assignments on. I recommend avoiding her at all costs. THE WORST.

Comment:

Do Not Major in Cultural Anthropology. Never explained about Post-Modern theory in regards to structural-fuctionalism. Got to University after Pierce. They can't agree on "what is culture" anymore. Pointless. Ethnographies are more like biographies now. Wasted my life. Working Starbucks now in SF. Life is over. I should have done something else.

Boring as sin!!! Watch a movie on a tribe in the bowels of south america (circa 1971) and take a nap. Take notes, uses Moodle for assignments and communications. Nice teacher, but not a very interesting class, honestly avoid!

great professor, really interesting class, you'll learn a lot while it's still easy. weekly essays due on moodle, assigned 2 weeks in advance, straight out of the boook and from lecture. one mid-term and one final, she lets you use an index card on both. grades on a generous curve. she's a really sweet person, highly recommended!

easy class just do the assignments on moodle its basically questions where you can get the examples from the book. the lectures are fine a little dull sometimes but fine, she lets you use a lil flash card during exams but if you study you wont need it, actually no one really uses it. this was a good class.
