he was not the most interesting professor, but the material covered, i found was interesting. the TA's were very helpful for this course. very easy to get good marks in his part of the course, as long as you show up and pay partial attention. he spoke at a good rate (for note taking)

Awesome professor, wish I could have him for a Classics course and not Greek, because I really enjoyed the class, but teaching Greek really isn't something he should be doing. He based the entire mark on the exam, and his methods really didn't work well. I did much better in the class once Natanblut took over second term.

Hagel is so dull and boring. His stories are irrelavent and sometimes you can barely understand him. Towards the end of the semester, you can see the class size dramatically decrease. But it is easy if u just go to the review sessions.

Hagel is Hot! and Laura Gagne is the most helpful TA in the world. Best Prof ever -he'll help you with stuff even if you're in 2nd year and not taking his class anymore, He's hillarious & incredibly informative!

Professor Hagel loves what he does and the students can feel this. His course is full of great anecdotes, silly jokes and... the word PARTICULAR! Oh my God, he actually said it 30 times in a 50 min leture! We were about to start playing drinking games!

First of all , anyone with an accent is a riot. The course material was well put forth and very interesting. This man uses the word PARTICULAR all the friggin time! We counted one day... 30 times. Thats crazy. In a class that once every 2 minutes!

Even if you dont have Hagel, go to his lectures. His stories are halarious, he's seen and done incredible things and is great at expressing this to students. Some of his slides suggest he may have been a russian spy during the cold war.
