I had the good fortune to study with Don ca. 2006/7, just before his retirement in 2008. He has been continuing in his lifelong learning past the age of 80 and continuing to keep in touch with many friends and former students.

A very wise and friendly Prof. He really wants to help his students understand the philosophy in the literature we read during this seminar format course. I loved the small class size and in depth discussions. It was great to be in Prof. Evans class - highly recommended.

hes such a funny man....hes quite entertaining and although it takes him some time to formulate a sentence, it usually comes out quite coherent...he brings out the philosopher in me!

There is a fair bit of required writing, but it is not difficult to complete, and Prof. Evans is a pretty easy marker. His class was really wonderful...and it really offsets other 1st year courses due to its small size and intimate nature. Be prepared to come to class and do a lot of listening and some talking re:matters of the heart.
