The man knows the subject. ThereĆ¢€™s no question about that with 40 YEARS OF RESEARCH. HeĆ¢€™s all about the cats! He dissects their brains (Really). However he is hard to understand. Lecture notes could be better and posted sooner. Very fair final exam compared to previous tests.

Worst class ever! Could have been very interesting if you could understand a work he was saying. Terrible lecturer with BRUTAL exams. He doesnt use the same language in class as on tests it doesnt even seems like he writes them, making them soo hard to follow. Wish i never took the class. Although he is very nice aweful prof.

Sweet man, however, that had no impact on the intensity of his tests. The first one? Slightly confusing but alright. the second one? Pure Terror. The exam? Honestly not too bad if you knew your stuff. The lectures? brutal and he went by the book completly. Still, very helpful when you need it, overall nice guy.

great example of how profs dont have any training on how to teach. Awful lectures and words questions on exams terribly. I went to every lecture did all the readings and still some of his questionis made no sense to me. By far the worst prof I have had, hard to imagine that anyone could be worse. Nice guy but nice doesn't teach material.

such a nice guy. but the class was a waste of time/money. lectures were confusing...he is very hard to understand & the final exam was BRUTAL. i think you need to have a lot of background in this subject to take anything from the class.

This prof rivals Dr Guy as the worst prof at Dal. He mumbles infront of the class and the material is completely useless. I'm getting a good mark and I still regret taking the class. Believe me, his pointless drivel is unbearable to sit through.

Awesome prof. He's gets to know your name which is a big plus at Dalhousie. He'll explain things over and over until you understand. He's always there for extra help and is very reasonable with deadlines, tests, and readings! Best prof. I've had at DAl.

His classes were a bit difficult (2150 & 3051), but interesting if you enjoy the subject. Also, he's funny & cute in a grandfatherly sort of way.

Dr. Mitchell is an excellent prof who really knows the material. He is very kind, helpful and approachable for any students who ask for help. Perception, and also Sensory Neuroscience, are tough classes but very interesting.

Sweet old man. Very interesting and intelligent. The only rough bit is that there is no text for the course and it's hard to tell what he's going to throw onto the exams. If you're into perception it's worth it.
