Wonderful person and entertaining. However he tested very hard, didn't have any orginization at all in his lecturs and would go off on these random rants which were very intereasting but it was hard to tell if it was course material or not. I wouldn't suggest taking any of his classes unless you don't mind reading your text a lot or are very smart

He's note very clear, but he's flexible and he's pretty good with one-on-one help. He doesn't have office hours, he just says, "if I'm there, I'm there" he'll help you if you just walk in the door. He's a lot of fun and all around likeable.

Grant is the king of it all, this class was sooo entertaining. Honestly, this guy is one of the funniest out there. Tests are very easy and very predictable, although his notes and lectures are the furthest thing from clear. He's too into proofs also. Take his course, it's quite the experience.

probably the best math prof at u of w. Often goes off on strange tangents, and its true, he does think he used to be friends with descartes. Regardless, hes brilliant,gives perfect notes, makes class fun, bangs his head on the board wears turtlenecks 365 days a year, and is definately worth taking.

When you first see him he'll remind you of the crazy scientist from the Back to the Future movies. Absolutely brilliant in mathematics, so there's no surprise that he teaches courses in all levels. Good lecturer, but excellent one-on-one in his office. If you need help, see him in his office.

Knows his stuff but tries to go above the course level in proofs. If you pay attention in his class he will perform. If nobody cares he wont either. Take advanced courses with him, not intro courses. His broadness of knowledge commands the respect of his peers. He's been there since Noah.

Failed every test but pulled of an A on the final. Class average was 35%, 12 ppl failed outrightand 20 dropped out. Clear as mud. Good prof if you like figuring stuff out on your own. Does not teach, per se. Don't take him intro; try him in intermediate.

He is the quintessential Math Prof. He makes a boring subject interesting. He can be intimidating at times, but one-on-one he’s excellent. I would consider taking more Math classes if he was the Prof.
