attendance isnt mandatory but he'll give info thatll be on the tests that isnt in the textbook or online notes. you brief about 3 cases throughout the semester and there are 3 tests, which he will work with the class to see what type of test you want. we had essay and fill in the blank. if you're good at writing definitely take this course

Dr. Jackson is one of the smartest men I've ever met, he can get off topic in class but he'll never test you over material he didn't teach. He's more than willing to help you if you'll go into his office hours and he'll likely even give you answers to some future test questions. His doesn't use powerpoint though, his lectures are entirely oral.

Possibly my favorite teacher. He loves discussion and tries to get people to develop their opinions. If you ask what he is looking for he'll tell you... Likes to tell stories and can get off topic but its enjoyable. He made his final optional for seniors and made the last test easy to help bump everyones grade up.

Con Law- Such an interesting & intelligent man, too smart for his own good. you have to be interested in his class to do well. If you take the time to talk to him/ask questions, he is MORE than willingly to help. Tests are only hard if you don't know the material. If you're interested in law you'll love him.

I've had Dr. Jackson for two classes. He's very intelligent and has lots of real-world experience with what he's teaching. His reviews for tests are very thorough. Not too easy, but he always curves things to help students get better grades. Very very nice and understanding. He's on the students' side when it comes to grading.

Jackson is like a retired thoroughbred. Just stands around eating grass in the pasture all day. He loses track of what he talks about in class easily. There is no focus during the lectures. Sometimes he seems confused while speaking even. Poli Sci really needs to replace this guy with someone more engaging and beneficial. YIKES!!

One of my favorite profs at TCU! His classes are challenging but he is willing to work with you! He is one of the most intelligent profs I've had at TCU!!! He always loves a good argument so if you know your stuff and can back what you believe then you'll do fine in his classes!!

A bleeding-heart liberal, he is nonetheless friendly and easy to understand. I'm as conservative as he is left-winged, but I backed up my opinions and he respects that with good grades. Show that you're trying, write intelligently, and walk away with an A.

Dr. Jackson is probably my favorite professor at TCU and the supreme court simulation class did not dissapoint. While it did take work it was very enjoyable and a great learning experience. I highly recommend it and any of Don J's other classse.
