Incredibly hard midterm. However, the rest of the assignments were relatively easy and I ended up with A. She gives real life examples and the case studies during class are a fun exercise!

Comment:

Donalda was an excellent prof and I would recommend taking this class. The textbook is not crucial in passing the class. Three case studies, a midterm (a lot of writing but relatively easy if you understand the course content), 8 - 10 page paper on ethics in the media, and a group presentation. Lots of examples to reinforce ethical considerations

Interesting class, she goes on rabbit trails a lot and goes off topic. can be confusing at time just ask lots of questions. lots of group work and case studies in class. study REALLY good for the midterm, it is hard. assignments are not very hard-case studies are easy to do well on. Dont need textbook. Takes attendance in class

Donalda is incredibly unorganized. Often, I felt like she hasn't kept up-to-date with modern social work theories or concepts and therefore, she often teaches things that aren't true or relevant anymore. I found her understanding of feminism and women's studies to be pretty non-intersectional and frustrating.

She's a really nice person and tries hard to make the class interesting and beneficial. If you work hard you will get really good marks because she marks fairly easy. I would recommend her.

Goofy prof- All over the place- Midterm not on anything we spend lots of time on - But marks fair... expected to fail midterm and got a 75... so she is goofy and hard to follow but fair

She is one of the best prof at SW department. She's well prepared, insightful, down-to-earth, & passionate about people. She's also a fair marker & make everythings clear(what she expects from assignment). Not many SW instructors are as prepared & serious about teaching as her in this university!!

This prof seems to be an excellent social worker, but she is an awful teacher. She is very disorganized, a hard marker, and plays favorites. If she doesn't know you and you do not make the effort to get to know her, expect a bad mark. Nice lady, but do not take a class from her cuz your gonna regret it!

I found this prof hard to follow in class. She seemed to be be disorganized and read her notes in class too fast. This is definitly a hands on class. The marking was spuratic and it seemed that if she liked you then your marks reflected it. The uncertainty of marks was very stressful.
