I agree with the poster below me. A good teacher is willing to help you get better. Moh spewed out assignments disparate from the class readings. She pointed general info about effective essay writing, but she is very underwhelming.

There are teachers who don't mind your writing level, they'll just help you get it right. This teacher, however, was looking for the perfects. She grades hard not so much because I think she's picky but that she expects her own level of performance. Lectures and reading material were excess and did not always applied to our essays.

She seems very kind and mousy, yet intimidating at the same time. Like Dolores Umbridge of Harry Potter. Monahan is a strict essay grader, and every class is the exact same thing. She decided to give us a quiz on the same day our essay was due, probably because she realized she didn't have enough to grade us on for midterms.

She is horroble. She discouraged me from majoring in English. Every time i tried to give my input she shot me down like my opinion didn't matter. If you're taking the class just do the work regardless of how good u think it is because it doesn't matter. She's a hard grader. She like's to hear her own voice in class.

the worst teacher ever. she litteraly is withering away as she bores you to death. Her comments are un helpful and hard to read and the quizes are presented in a rushed mind state. the tests are easy but the essays are expected to be level 155 or higher. I dont believe she should even be able to teach the youth because of her unwillingness to help

Donna is a great teacher and a wonderful person. She is crystal clear on assignments, and always available in office hours. She gives useful and appropriate feedback on papers, with quick turnaround. 120 is sort of like english boot camp, and I came out of her class with all the skills I needed to take on 150 with ease.

I took her ENGL 120 last spring. She was very thorough when explaing essay assignments, also she helped students develop ideas for essays in class. I had hard time getting a passing grade (mostly because English is my 2nd language), but she let us rewrite poor essays. Also she will give you a thorough review on your essay. Helpful and good class!

She is such a wonderful teacher. She is so well educated, well organized, gives thorough instruction, and she makes me see things in a different light. This is my favorite class and I have learned so much from her. The way she analyzes readings is so incredible. She is also extremely helpful and so sweet.

I admire her ability to reach students as opposed to expecting students to reach her. Too many teachers have a plain, boreing way of teaching that seems to lack effort. I learned a lot in this class...she took the time to get to know us, and related the teachings to us! Teachers like this make me want to put more effort into the class. Do your work, and ask her questions. She will make time for you!
