Comment:

I've taken Prof. Lauterstein three times and would take her another three if it were possible. She is the most insightful and profound teacher I've had and it sickens me to think that Fordham couldn't recognize her true talent for educating students. She's an experienced & gifted writer and I feel very fortunate that I was able to learn so much.

Comment:

Lauterstein's adv writing workshop is an invaluable continuation of the craft of writing. Her expertise in the field is definitely worth taking advantage of. You're not going to find a better professor who is truly committed to the success of her students. Be prepared to work hard & you won't be disappointed in the results she can help you achieve.

Far and away the best professor I've had in my college career. She really challenges you, but more importantly she makes you challenge yourself. A real asset to anyone that's had her b/c she's one of the few that has really gone out and done it instead of simply having a PHD hanging on the wall.

Wow. Someone's bitter, huh? The only way you couldnt like this woman is if you weren't open to suggestions and YOU think you know everything already. She is realistic - we all have a lot to learn - not even in the classroom but in life, and she encourages you and teaches you to find out on your own.

She is a tough cookie! but the best teacher I've had at Fordham. She doesn't bore you with text book facts, she teaches u skills and things u need to know in the real world. She is fiesty and a lil crazy and might interrupt u in mid-sentence, but take her! U will LEARN and NOT fall asleep in class!

So good that I signed up for her advanced class next year. She's great...not easy, but you'll definately learn something. She improved my writing, and taught me many other things that I'll need in the real world. A must take.
